Your having one of my days Len ,🤭🤭 Ya just on each side of the belt. Not on the bottom or top. And not to much. Very thin coat.

I think your in the right area with Kablewie, Noel. There is a lot of front-to-back motion and possible shaft slop on the idler pulley. Combine that with the twisted lower pulley and it might be possible for the belt to ride over the edge of the idler pulley. I think it's the idler pulley that is cutting the belt. Then that friction causes the belt to jam and flip. Hard to say from watching a video, and what do I know?

I think you’re right Rick. That’s about the only thing I can come up with. 13” on average of snow here today. Was gunna go out this morning and get a belt and do other things. But the snow was in the way. Could just drove out. Truck is 4x4. But no sense in that I guess. Any way, thanks for your thoughts. And I will continue. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻

It will be interesting to know why it flipped the belt. From the camera view it looked like the bottom pulley is at a different angle than the engine pulley, combined with the bent and different size bottom pulley that may be causing the issue. I am surprised the idler pulley moves in/out. It would be worth investing in a spring pulling tool, they are very cheap over here

Thanks Joseph. You have a point there.

I don`t like the bottom pulley. When you rev it up that most wipe that belt around and the idler being loose may get a hole of it and rip chunks out of it.....Just what I see from here....CHEERS

Thanks Gator. I think I’m gunna go with the idler sliding. Have to get out and get a belt. But had to deal with 13” of snow this morning. So I’ll get out this afternoon.
