This was so helpful! I found it after I had started to assemble with the provided directions and I had made the same mistake with the screw hold facing up on one cross bar. Your instructions prevented me from having to disassemble the whole thing before catching the error! Thank you!

Thanks for the informative and practical review. A 4-Bike Carrier for the price of most status 2-Bike Carriers. I'm sold!

Thank you and glad this was helpful. I was a little nervous with the price tag but it has been a great purchase and being able to travel with the bikes and still having all the room for other things in the truck bed is a game changer for sure!

Nicely done video. Do you know the distance from the tailgate to the rack as I have spare tire mount.

Thank you for your review it was well worth the honest review, I did like where it can be separated from 2 yo 4 bikes, also it can convert to 3 bikes as well. I do like th position of the lever that's out of the way, some others you step on it and the rack falls to the ground. Great Job! You had said it sways a bit when driving? how much wiggling when all 4-bikes are on it? Thanks.

Thanks for watching! The sway isn’t to bad, maybe a 1/4”, but it was nerve wrecking when I first saw it but created no issues. Also, tightening the bolt in the hitch helps with this.

Thanks for this. With my car lid I can't fold up the rack and often am traveling with only one bike. It should be ok to remove all of the components for the 2nd bike right?
@BusyBeeLiving2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t see that effecting the bike rack just make sure to add the reflector to it so the extending bar is visible.

Can you show me or point me which 17mm wrench/bolt you used to tighten the 4 screws in 2:46. i just could not tighten it with the included wrench. Thanks
@BusyBeeLiving2 жыл бұрын
I used my own wrench set with the install, much easier than using the provided tool. If you're having issues tightening it, make sure that the square part of the bolt is seated correctly and that will help you tighten it done. Also, use the open end of the wrench. This makes it much easier to work with the bolts closest to the upward arm.

Thank you for the review. I am looking at this vs the Yakima FourTimer. I think I like this one better
@BusyBeeLiving2 жыл бұрын
Glad you found this helpful in your search for the perfect bike rack. Like I shared in the video, there is some rust forming on some of the areas of the rack but it is not effecting the function of the rack itself. So if that doesn't bother you, I really haven't found much to complain about with it.
@vasekvi2 жыл бұрын
@@BusyBeeLiving I did actually go with the Yakima 4Timer, mainly based on reviews and some pictures I saw where the rack bent on lateral stress. They may have done something incorrect. But I also liked the lock loop integrated to the Yakima. I had an Allen hanging rack and I just got sick of trying to keep the bikes from touching each other.
@BusyBeeLiving2 жыл бұрын
@@vasekvi I read some of the same reviews and saw some of those pictures of fails as well. I decided to roll the dice and so far (knock on wood) no issues. Glad we could help you with your decision and hope you like the Yakima rack.

8:00 - can you move the securing arm for the kids bike to a different angle, perhaps angled towards the back of the kids bike frame and instead of traditionally straight down like the other bikes.

Good thought but unfortunately they don’t pivot
@davidwebster26162 жыл бұрын
@@BusyBeeLiving they pivot to the left and right one click. I just bought this rack. Maybe I didn't explain it very good. Anyway, good luck!

What is the distance between each wheel holder? I have a trike with 36 inches between wheels.
@BusyBeeLiving2 жыл бұрын
With all 4 on it does span 36” from the first to the fourth but not sure if the front wheel will land on a spot for the wheel to be secured. So I’m not sure if it would work out.

Is this still holding up for you?
@BusyBeeLiving8 ай бұрын
Yes, since this video we have taken it on several long trips through some rough weather and it's still holding strong. The little bit of rust areas that we showed in the video, have not weakened it. It's really just some surface rust, but other than that everything else is perfectly fine.

Im reading some people have had this thing cause their bike to come off on the interstate almost causing major accidents?!😫 My biggest fear ever especially bcuz I have an 70lb ebike.
@BusyBeeLiving3 жыл бұрын
I was reading the same reviews and was a little worried myself, but our longest road trip with it was through major storms and all the bikes made it. I know according to the specs it advertises 60lbs per bike, so that ebike of yours may be pushing it. If you do decide to roll the dice and go with this one you’ll have to let us know what you think especially since I don’t have anything near the weight you have. I would look around though and try and find something with a bigger weight load.
@AB-th4xk3 жыл бұрын
@@BusyBeeLiving my bike is 70lbs so if this thing allows 60lbs per bike (120 lbs total weight limit based on what amazon says) my 1 bike alone shud be okay.

@@BusyBeeLiving any issues with the water from the rain itself?
@BusyBeeLiving3 жыл бұрын
No, everything stayed tight and made it fine through the trip. Although there was surface rust around the welds from being exposed to the weather but nothing that impacted the structure.
