Thank you for this. I had no idea that Blocks could send out CV. Now I need two weeks of free time!! :)

Hey Owen, thanks for your great tutorials on Reaktor, Blocks and sound design in general. You keep increasing my gear lust, though. Many years ago I had a Mini-Moog, but now I am very interested in the Mother 32 being controlled by the Blocks software. Thanks for putting more pressure on my already anaemic bank account. ;-). As for remote OSC control via an iOS device, my head just exploded. The opportunities this represents for performance art, as you know, are quite literally infinite. Mind blown. Sometimes I have to get on an old-school analog piano just to reset to the elegant simplicity of the real world.

Really cool stuff. Would be interesting if you did a demo using Liine Lemur

Do you know if the Motu Ultralite MK4 works for patching modular synth?

That´s nice but how do you get time for doing music if you are lost in infinite learning curves, i love hardware synth cause, first at all i don´t need computers and second the music comes immediately and it is a pleasure to do. nothing like the knobs of the synth to control a synth, but if you are iPhone addicted it´s ok . of courses IMHO

Hi Owen,Thanks you, i know your are a great expert on electronic music, i mean with my comment above that there so much things those day to work/learn with, which can be pretty time consuming, to me is very important to focus in for you what work´s best. Has you well pointed answering to my question. To me in particular there nothing like moving real synth´s pots, i feel more connected with the instrument. As artists we are, the experimentation is the key for us, and all the new technology is always welcome. iPads iphone are territory that i don´t explore. but software and hardware are a good mix to me. i love software which not try to emulate hardware in general and use to go to innovative proposal. About Reaktor i know it must to be a good soft synth for that purpose. I still running Lion 10.7 as OS, so i haven't tried yet nothing new from NI. Anyway the possibilities to interconnect to modular look pretty nice. either via iPhone or dedicated hardware interface.

Dear Owen, I am hoping to reach you here in a round about way. I have taken these Kadenze courses, ended up purchasing Reaktor and have been having a great time. Someone created a modification of a Machine sequencer block for the Traktor Kontrol F1. A very exciting however, both the designer of the original block and the F1 mod only work in Reaktor standalone, but do not work as a VST in Ableton. I have some functionality but it is quite wonky. I am not sure if work needs to be done on the core cell or if it is a routing issue in ableton or if it is a control surface/controller editor issue. Do I need to add a complex series of blocks to route the midi signals so that my sequencer can write midi notes in Ableton to record the sequence? Here is the Ableton Forum feed. forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=223200
