This video was so relaxing. Great editing, voiceover, information, and background music. My neighbor gave me some of these limes and my kids and I were excited to learn more about them.

This was so helpful for my son, whom I have shared this with, he loves your channel and has recently taken to growing much of his own ingredients for his recipes. Thank you.

I bought a kaffir lime tree From an asian grocery store. It has produced tons of limes and leaves. I use it for thai green curry but I am looking for more uses, I think it could be used to make some sort of candy. It has such a distinct taste and can be overwhelming.

I've done this with lemons before and given the baby trees as gifts to friends and coworkers. People love them because the leaves have such a great citrus smell. Unfortunately, all the limes I've even had were seedless I believe. Fun video!! Edit: I never thought to remove the seed shell, that's smart. Probably cuts down on the germination time significantly.

Hi Ryan, thank you for watching 😊 That's a great gift to give someone. I never thought to do that! Yes I find removing the shell definitely cuts down the germination time. It's fun to watch them grow

Great content, and one of the few videos that addresses how to use the fruit itself. For me the pace of the video was a bit slow but I know I'm impatient :o)

Awesome video. I have a question: can you put this zest in sugar or alcohol and use it for sweet desserts and make liquor (like limoncello)? I found Kaffir lime fruit in a fruitshop that sells a lot of tropical fruits, i will try to repeat your tutorial!

That sounds tasty! I never tried but I bet it would work. It'll be very fragrant for sure

I have one growing in a pot for 3 yrs on my patio in a big pot the tree is now 12 ft tall, was 2 ft when I got it, but don't know how to use the fruits it has a lot, don't know how to use the flesh and juice I know about the leaves and fruit zest, do you use the juice?or lime fruit?

Don’t waste your time watching this video. It’s mostly about saving the seeds. You can use the skin has the same taste as the leaves. The juice can sometimes be sweet sometimes bitter can use in sauces. You can also freeze it. You can also use the juice and shampoo. That’s the gist of this video.

If you leave the seeds to dry for a bit you can peel of the outer skin. They will germinate (between the moist paper) way faster!

i was worried you might injure your fingers while cutting the fruits..why not use cutting boards?

hi, can we make kaffir juice drink like how we do lemonade out of the juice from lemon?
@ThunThunChannel2 жыл бұрын
Kaffir lime juice tends to be a bit bitter than a usual lemon/lime and might not taste good in a drink. However, you can add the crushed leaves or Kaffir lime zest to your traditional lemonades for incredible aroma and added flavor.

how is the juice of the kaffir lime compares to the juice of a regular lime?
@ThunThunChannel3 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for watching. I think the juice is not as good as a regular lime. It can be a bit bitter. However, the zest and leaves of the Kaffir lime have an incredible aroma and taste that is unmatched. It's floral and lemony.

Toilet paper is actually better for germinating seeds
