its amazing when you stripe and dont plan anything, what comes to fruition is truly a current snapshot of what is in your soul at that time. very relaxing and rewarding./

@thesoria1 lacquer thinner is only used to quickly clean out the color in you brush between colors. There are several types of One Shot Paint ,the one that concerns pinstripers is an oil based sign paint ,it used to have lead in it but the bunny huggers sued the company to get it removed,causing the paint to not cover well ,and not be as durable,There are many new paints on the market , but I still prefer the old stand by. scrollers that I designed are made with round ferels long liners have flat ferels and the .hair works like a knife.scrollers can do short run 2-4 ft long lines and old skool designs longliners dont do curves well at all unless you roll the brush between your fingers.If your just starting and want to have fun and not get frustrated start with a#3 stripe on steve

The pencil is made by staedtler and it's called omnichrome it wont melt and cleans up welllwith a micro-fiber cloth and windex after the paint sets up,obviously.

@RATRODKING The only paint I use is one shot ,I've tried euros and couldn't get them to cover at all, You can clearcoat enamels if you know what your doing,and that is the only advantage I can see for using euros you don't have to have a clue for clearcoat .Lot of guys use them I think the paint and the companies that make them all suck ,thats my opinion. All of my design work both Kafka style and ol skool are improvised .I get a feel for the space keeping in mind the client the flow ,balance ,color and where I would like to end up. The first color sets the design all the next additional colors add weight and of course the wow effect to the production.When I first look at a new canvas there are design problems that must be addressed ,motion is extremely important to the overall production,again keeping im mind the Q&A with the client. Was that Muddy Waters with Little Walter in the background? Good taste and super skills.

Steve Gumble I think you’ll find it’s Snooky Prior, singing Telephone Blues. Very similar sounding to Muddy though.

Mr. Kafka!!! I am a HUGE fan and admirer of your work! So much so that I have recently given this great art form a try for myself. So far, things are going decently, however, I frequently have issues with my paint skipping while pulling lines. I have been unable to pinpoint the exact issue. Is this a common problem with beginners? Please! I need help from the MASTER!!!

Steve, you're recommending in the comments that if someone is new, they should start with a # 3 STRIPE....but your website does not have the word "stripe" for brushes. All I see is: KWILL LONGLINER SCRIPTLINER LINER SCROLLER

luke mccaffrey when I finish with a color I now wipe the paint out with a paper towel then rinse in hardware store lacquer thinner,to get everything out ,then mineral spirits, ready for the next color and my palleting spirits is still clean. I like how fast the brush gets clean.

I bought a Kafka brush its a little different to use. I got the #3 and the lines don’t look nearly as thin as in the video here. I’m using the tip as well. It’s not a bad brush. Chances are I don’t know how to use it. Any tips?
@stevekafka4 жыл бұрын
Fariko Pacer make sure that you remove all the sizing in the hair with hardware store lacquer thinner ,then mineral spirits, the hair will become soft and allow you to use it properly.
