You can blame Transformers for Dragonball Evolution sucking. James Wong, the director of Dragonball evolution scrapped everything near the end of release in order to try and compete with the action in Transformers. They ended up rushing everything and most of the actors got fed up with the dramatic shifts. This is what I've heard from some of the background staff, so it might be a bit bias. Most of that info came out from one of the comicsgate artists who worked on the movie. I can't recall his name, all I know is he wore a bunny suit for "integrity." He said he would wear the suit as one of his milestones and he wore it pretty much every update after the milestone was hit. Also that guest has one trash mic and backstory.
