Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery - Scotland

I did courses in meditation way back in 2000 when I was a trainee doctor in Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. I used to visit at least once a year. There used to be a beautiful white peacock in the gardens and a tea shop which served different tea' s from all over the world. They also used to teach the Tanka painting. Beautiful memories

For me, Samye Ling is one of the most beautiful places - stunning! I visited Samye Ling several times during the 70s and 80s. But it wasn't until the 15th of April 2006 that I took refuge from Karma Lodro Thaye - in other words, I officially became a Buddhist!

Wow Rob didn't know there was a monastery in Dumfries & Galloway and it was an excellent video you made of it really enjoyed it so peaceful you've really fired my imagination to go visit there. thanks for sharing it with us. PS that was a fantastic effect fading from sepia to colour.
