I love Liv, idk why people are hating on her. 😭 Yes she's being somewhat selfish but can you really blame her, she's scared, who wouldn't be? Are these people really saying they wouldn't try to avoid that merge too. Also she wants Kai gone and she genuinely has confidence in Jo, it wasn't even purely selfish.
