The water is full.. do something else 😜 Just kidding, there's nothing like it and I recommend it to anyone considering it. I suck at it and I'll never be great at it, but it still makes me really happy.

Do it. Dont get put off by locals/more experienced surfers who think they own the waves. Best advise is to go out whether there is swell or not. There is a lot to learn on a surfboard that doesn't involve catching waves. Balance, paddling, duck diving, water awareness, wave anticipation. Learn about Rip currents and get comfortable in the water. Go for it. Ill check back in to this comment in a few months to see if you have started.

The feeling of your board gliding through the water. It’s something magical and truly blissful man. I definitely recommend doing it. I’ve only ever surfed 3-4 footers, but it’s so much fun still!

Great film. Mind-blowing subject in Kai Lenny and his colleague Lucas. Am so happy he achieved his goals having sacrificed so much and worked so hard for them. Truly inspirational. As much as I hate all the corporate stain all over sport, I have to give Red Bull props for supporting extreme sports and creating a visible platform through film. People like Kai and Lucas deserve to be paid and acknowledged for being able to do superhuman manoeuvres on waves that could easily knock my house down. Kai is so connected to the water he reminds me of a joyful dolphin that plays in the bow wake of a boat. What a freaking focused, inspirational legend. I have to admit that my eyes started leaking towards the end, just like they did during the Billy docuseries.... 👏🤙

I have always been in awe of the ocean for all its dark depths & vast power. Riding the wave each one the beat of the massive heart of the beast. Many spend there whole life trying to get on top where they think want to be but they miss the real joy in becoming one in the dance with the creature on the way down. Kai spends his time trying to find the big waves & I would rather find the sea of tranquility. Still we all can't ride the big ones so it's nice to live vicariously through those who spend their lives living the dream.
