You know the future cyborgs were actually greater victims than the ones in the present. They talk of humans like they never were ones themselves. Gero erased their memories and made them hate humans to the point that they killed HIM. They only retained their love of clothes and cars. In a way, they are like vampires/zombies who forgot who they were and who followed their instincts. I thought the present day ones were humans who were given a shit ton of power. Which made their actions WAY WORSE because they had free will. They also were idiots for disliking what Gero did to them. C18 showed her powers by lifting heavy stuff, speed, flying and ki. A normal human would have to work hard for that. LET ALONE the power of a SSJ. They also get immortality while being fertile. Yeah, I see why they hate Gero. I hated C18 for flaunting this power and taunting Trunks and Vegeta, people who earned their powers, while she hates the guy who gave it to them? That is so dumb, retarded and UNGRATEFUL and SPOILED. C17 rarely used his strength, did not want to fly or fight. Dumb, but at least he was not a hypocrite. He still wanted to kill Goku, and did not call Gero a monster for his plans. And C18 did not care about the people who died while she was fighting Vegeta. So much for the present cyborgs never hurting anyone. I never understood why Trunks let her live. TWICE. After what she did to his father which caused him to flip. Some people say they still had some programming they fought against. (So the human C17 and 18 would not want to kill Goku and enjoy hurting Vegeta and Trunks and care about dead civilians?) So why is this not the text of the story? Why not talk about the morals? Trunks let C18 in the present escape, because there were now stronger people than her. But was it really necessary to kill the future cyborgs, when they are victims, too, and he was stronger than them? Their programming would never allow them to stop killing, but maybe they could have deprogrammed them? They still had a remote, right? I still think whatever the present day cyborgs did was way worse because they CHOSE to. These are details that can be overlooked, but I think this should have been explained in the story.

I'm three years late, but I have to respond to this, because it's so ridiculously false. You hate C18 for flaunting against Vegeta and Trunks? After they killed Dr. Gero, C17 and C18 completely ignored the Z-Fighters in front of them and flew away. Then Vegeta intercepted them and starting throwing tasteless insults at them, provoking them. 18 accepts the challenge and fights him. When the others arrive, 17 tells them not to interfere and just stands there with them. 18 beats Vegeta and they jump in anyway. Only then does 17 knock them down. And they did not kill a single one of them, even Vegeta, who provoked them to fight to begin with. They never flaunted their power unless provoked
