I hate that this fight got interrupted, but it was for the story's sake, plus this is when it first dawned on me how smart Blackbeard was. Because the exact same tactics that worked on Ace, worked even better on Luffy. He would have been caught for sure if not for Ace. Although it might have been neat to see Ace showing up to rescue Luffy from execution, or Luffy put into a cell next to Crocodile.

@@Rude_Boi I have a theory in which blackbeard has an ultra-powerful haki but he hides it, at the time when he fought with claws he must have developed many skills + he says to luffy you have more haki than before which shows his expertise in this field unlike other characters who have never noticed that. blackbeard in the sequel will probably get us out a shanks level haki

Scenes like this really made me love the Freiza Saga !! There were so many moments of pure desperation. I can't explain it. Maybe because they're on a foreign planet Namek but every second was survival ! I'll never forget the feeling like how are we gonna get put of this one... I don't know if Luffy could have beaten Teach here if they went all out. BUT if its Luffy, Jinbei, Crocodile and Ivankov vs. Teach and his crew - I think its a landslide victory for the alliance. Luffy, 2 former Warlords and Ivankov is just tough. Jinbei would have easily beaten Burgess. And Crocodile is untouchable to anyone but Teach. Ivankov is a natural counter to Doc Q.
