Almost stayed in a relationship that no longer served me because they had met all the important people in my life that have passed. That feeling you had is real and sometimes does make you want to rush so that your future can collide and meet your present but just knowing that no one past or present in my life would want me to settle or shrink myself keeps me grounded. God’s timing is always perfect so this year I, too, decided I was going to move on his timeline and not mine. Loved this video!

Thanks for opening up and sharing your life updates with us. You had me over here crying I was close to my grandma, she raised me and after she passed I found out I was pregnant with my first child. It’s been 20 years since but O always think about how my kids never got to know her or experience her love. Grief is hard, it gets easier but never really goes away.

Thanks for being for vulnerable and allowing us in. I understand all too well. I lost my mom two years ago and I was so sad that I haven’t had a child yet she could meet. Thank you so much for opening up about your grief and your future without that special person in your life. I lost my mom 2 months ago and am also currently 34 weeks pregnant. Everyday is such a struggle for me knowing my mom won’t be here to meet her grandson and I can’t just call her whenever I want or when I need advice or help. Praying for healing for everyone who is navigating the loss of a loved one 🤍 I try so hard to remember that if we didn’t love that person so much and have all those beautiful memories with them, it wouldn’t hurt so bad.

I totally understand you about wanting your grandfather around for when you get married and have kids. I was lucky enough to have my grandpa around when I got married a year ago. He passed two months later. But it does hurt knowing my kids will never get to meet him and know how great he was. You’re not alone. It’s definitely tough, but as time goes you learn to deal with the grief.

Losing a loved one really is a lot. I lost my grandmother a year ago and it hurt a lot because it was two months before I got engaged so she wasn’t there for that she wasn’t there for my wedding and it made it worse because my husband had his grandparents and I had none. It is hard but having your family and praying for strength really helps a lot

Hey Kaila! I’m only halfway through the video, but I wanted to comment because could relate so much to what you were saying about loss and relationships. I lost my sister unexpectedly almost 3 years ago right after going through a terrible break up. I can’t put into words how much that year changed me as a person and my outlook on life. 2021 traumatized me for many reasons, but after losing my sister, I lost all hope and my sense of purpose. I was empty. I dated men who only left me feeling even more empty and I tolerated it because I felt that rush that you mentioned. I was scared of losing more people that I loved. At some point I decided to stop dating and focus on how I could heal myself. I made some progress, and then I unexpectedly reconnected with someone I dated when we were 19. We’ve always been around eachother because of mutual friends but didn’t want to overstep that boundary again out of love and respect for eachother. Girl I am 9 months pregnant with our first child now. When I tell you I didn’t see this coming AT ALL. It’s the most beautiful, happiest and healthiest time in both of our lives. This man is my best friend and soulmate. I truly believe it now when people say that the best things come to you when you least expect it. Fully trust that all you’ve ever wanted will come to you when it is your time. I’m 32 years old, now is when it’s my time despite me giving up years ago. I still have my moments because grief never goes away. It breaks my heart every time I think about how my son will never meet his auntie who would have absolutely adored him, but I get signs from her all the time and I feel her love for him. I think about all our conversations about this period in life that I’m currently in. I feel her support and how proud she is of the woman I have become/am still becoming. A year ago I would’ve never imagined I’d be in such a peaceful mental place. Praying for your peace and healing babe. Your time will come!! Have faith! Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable moment with us 🤍

❤ this was beautiful, I too lost my only sibling my sister 3 years ago and my youngest was only 1 at the time and I hate that he wasn't able to experience a lot of time with her but he sees her pictures and he calls her by name. You're right grief never goes away we just live with it and deal the best way we can. Congratulations on your baby, time flies so enjoy every moment!
