Which true Hindu's blood won't boil and pile up anger at the barbarism that prompted the disfigurement and destruction of these beautifully carved idols! How marvelous this temple would have looked in its original form! For a better understanding of this wonderful creation in solid rock, I suggest the viewers to visit KZbin videos of 'Praveen Mohan' (earlier titled 'Phenomenal Travel Videos'

Awesome! One day perhaps someone as knowledgeable as Arvindan will describe all the panels in detail as he did with some of the panels here. It will be a great tribute to the Rishis who wrote the Puranas and to the brilliant architects and sculptors who brought all these stories to life.

Was here in 1972 and again in 1976 when it was difficult to get to and also difficult to scale the tall rough steps! It looks 'civilized' with modern amenities now! Lovely!

Delightful! I already guess how this miracle appeared. I just can't understand why it's not finished to the end? And not only this miracle, but also many other temples in India? Is it a tradition of sculptors to leave part of the work unfinished ???

This is not the work of primitive civilization. Indeed the civilization which built this mammoth temple must be very advanced even more advanced than modern civilization. It requires machinery without it I don't think this could have been built

You're right . The civilization is different. Much older than historians say. But we owe the appearance of this beauty, rather, not to the development of technology, but to other things, because this is all manual labor, but with a little cunning ... /

Too much focus on the commentators and less on the scupltures... could have been avoided.
