Kailash Blades did a wonderful job producing these 2 historical designs.

The loop on the bottom of the sheath is a tie off spot. Allows you to put a tie arround your legg. Keeps the blade from flapping against your legg. Fixing a crack in the wood or in horn, fill the crack with thin superglue, let it dry, then sand even. Great blades,! Thanks for the review!

Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to make a review! So glad you're happy with both your knives. You have a very calm and soothing voice- it makes for a very great tone for the review overall. Would love to see more. As for your questions-The loop on the end is for a cord leg tie if needed. If a khukuri handle develops a small crack often rubbing a small bit of pva wood glue in will help seal it. Keeping your blade regularly oiled is a great preventative measure too! Send me through some close up pics of the crack and I can make some more detailed recommendations for you. Take care, Andrew

the loop on the tip of the scabbard is for you to tie it to your leg with a cord preventing it from moving too much when wearing it

The good thing about Kailash is that they offer different lengths for the handle. If one has large hands 4.75" or 5.25" might fit better than the 4.25" handle.

I am highly impressed with the chitlange..I want one....that is a self defense blade in Texas ..edc...the power in the front two thirds of the blade is incredible ....I'm sure.wsit I want the kukri...wait ok how about two knives ....

Both have Rat tail tangs which causes handles to be more likely to fail if they are actually used. A full Tang is more useful but less traditional.
@tcj2185 Жыл бұрын
Yeah with shit knives from shit blade makers. But rat tails have been used forever to good effect. Some prefer a rat tail tang because of the balance.
@gianpalacio5635 Жыл бұрын
I’m sorry mister Terry despite being right on western straight knifes, the curved traditional kukri will hold strong and firm to its handle even 200 years after use with PARTIAL tang, not even rat tail. Partial is suppose to be weaker. Look into it ! And hold a real kukri yourself. I’ve used mines for several years. Cheers ‘
