Great video. I have a fluval 110 for years and love it but moved to a new house and power goes out a lot and it doesn't self prime. Luckily I have been home. Going to order this aqueon today for my 90 gallon cichlid tank. Thanks 👍

I might have to pick up one of those Aqueon QuietFlow filters... My Aqua Clear 50 just randomly stopped working for no reason. I unplugged it to do a water change and when I plugged it back in... nothing. I wound up replacing it with my old LOUD Top Fin filter that I hate.

Great hob I think. Plenty of room for media. I don't use the bio grid in front because it floods my aqueon hood. Go figure. But filter is nice, better then some other options out there.

As soon as my BB gets good a rooted, about the time it's ready to change those carbon filled filters, I replace them with regular sponges that you buy to wash dishes with..they last longer, they don't clog as often...you're gonna really like this filter...I like the hob better than the canister Great video!

I Really like that bio media grid. I have one of the older versions of this filter and it definitely does quiet the water .. however i do find it restricts it a bit once the filters become a little dirty. WITH that said they may have also improved on the impeller and how that performs. I'm curious to hear your thoughts in a month or so. ALOHA Bruddah. Great video .. also Aloha baby peacocks!

I like this better than tidal sechem because the filter pad is vertical and more water surface contact. Tidal has small sponge and all top heavy media pushes the floss pad down and clogs faster than aqueon.

Hawaiian Peacock personally I don’t feel they are any good for bio but they are doing great for my application. They move a lot of water. I have mine with course sponge and floss to clean the water it’s working great for that purpose

Hawaiian Peacock honestly I have not had success with the self priming unfortunately. Lol sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If the tank is a inch or 2 low it won’t work. Not for me anyway. Unfortunately if it’s even lower it won’t work period🤦‍♂️. While transferring the fish around in the Rebuild I kept the tank 4 inches from full cause I kept the lids off. I couldn’t even get them to work even with priming. And I thought maybe it was just one. But no it was all 3 lol. I had to fill the tank until it worked then remove the water again. If that makes sense lol. But it does work great once it works 🤷‍♂️.

Hi I need help I have a rescue gold fish wich I saved a year ago. Took it home from school and started a 10 gallon fish tank. He is 4 times bigger now and I got him a 20 gallon tank 2 month ago. Now I have problems with green algae because I bought a different fish tank kit not aqueon. Now I have green algae issues and I bought the 75. My question is can I put the aqueon 75 filter on without a top and light to get rid off the green mess and/ or do I need a bigger tank. I have real plants in there which I can replace if I need to but it’s getting really complicated now since I saw that you can modify the filter. Again I pretty much don’t know what I am doing but Charly is important and I could use any input possible.

Yeah you can’t totally do that but ur water will evaporate fast, u just gotta water the water levels they also sell UV Sterilizers called the Green killing machine I own 3 of them they work awesome on killing algae 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Free is awesome. AFG additions: The self priming is the best thing about the filter. The LED sensor? Throw it in the trash its a JOKE. The filter only directs flow to ontop of the filter media, not not force it through from the bottom to the top. The additional for purchase specialty sponge things for the splash are a joke. The ONLY way this is a viable filter is having a intake sponge on the up tube. Only the truth here. Love the content bro. PECE.
