Mahmoud Radwan If you have no gems right now, then you’ll get the next pass next season. Save the 90 from this season, and get enough gems from next season to unlock that brawl pass and it’s rewards, rinse, repeat.

i personally prefer the old chance of getting 12 gems from boxes, darryll having a lower voice than rico, and the old box system. quests make the game not as fun in progression since ur forced to play other modes.

If getting gems from boxes was back, you could get just under 170 gems after 2 months, since the avg was = 178. That would be so frustrating and would make some people spend money they don't want.

Kairos, if you haven't noticed, the amount of tokens required to progress through the brawl pass has increased since your video. Big boxes at the end are now 500 rather than 400 tokens, and the max amount of token required to complete the later teirs has increased from 500 tokens to 650. I just want you to make sure you're using the up-to-date values, rather than the ones from the dev build when you do your video about the value of the brawl pass.

My Thoughts: I think that gems should be added back to boxes or at least added once the pass is completed. Also pins should have another way of being obtained, even if it’s just the common ones, since f2p players are already trying to save up for the pass. I really like the new hot zone, but I kind of miss tickets. Overall the balance changes are great, but I think penny should get a buff. I rank this update a 7 but is a great start and can be really good. This is just my opinion btw.

Gems should be added to boxes because then what’s the point in skins. If every brawl pass gives you 90 gems and lasts 2 months, then you would have to grind everyday for 8 months just to get one 300 gem skin which sucks. Before the update you could get token doublers and that gives you more boxes to get more gems which was way better than now

As a f2p player, I feel like the brawl pass is really shoved in my face. Before it was just progression for everyone, and the only place to see what you could buy with money was the shop. That was cool because I could just go to the shop, pick up the free thing, maybe look at some of the things you could buy with gems, but then leave and continue the game. It was good because you could ignore the spending part of it if you wanted to. There was still incentive to do so, but you didn't have to see it all the time. Now the only way to progress is through the brawl pass, and I am constantly reminded of the rewards I am missing out on. I'll grind to get 400 tokens to progress to the next level and get 50 gold -_- to then look at the top section and see that I could've gotten a mega box. It's not all that fun with f2p progression, because it's combined along with the brawl pass, and every reward I get, I think about what I could've gotten if I would've had the brawl pass. I get it that f2p should be on a lower level than p2w, because supercell needs to make money. I'm just saying that when you rub it in our face every time we play the game it's not great. For example, in clash of clans they have the pass, but you don't have to look at it every single time you want to progress. You can check in when you get a free reward, but then leave and continue the normal game. You don't have to look at what you're missing out on when you collect gold and elixir from your collectors. I like the brawl pass, I just feel like they should make it a separate menu because it's not fun to have it rubbed in your face the entire time you play the game. U literally still have the same map to get rewards for trophies. Nothing really changed except they took out one regular box for every 100 coins and other very irrilevant cons compared to the gains from the f2p brawl pass

Somethings I’ve thought about after playing consistently with this update -The quest system and lack of star tokens make me and the people I play with less likely to play every gamemode at least once. I think an easy work around to this is giving 25-50 tokens to players that win in that mode. -daily progression feels slower but for overall progression it’s kinda similar i guess. I’m F2P with an almost maxed acc, so I rely on every single token to progress. Knowing that, I wish they would add one more quest to everyday. More quests with more variety allow for more diverse gameplay and more tokens to progress. -I think they should add gems to some types of boxes like someone else said in the comment section. Even though you did that math that on average people will get the same amount of gems, there is a large standard deviation from just looking at the average. People have the possibility of getting many more gems from just luck. Also, gemmers that spend money to open boxes lose out on the ability to open just 1 more box. I think to fix this without breaking their game, SC should allow gems to come out of just mega boxes with a cap of 13 OR they should have caps for each box type, mega=7, big=5, normal=3 -The inability to unlock rewards in any order is annoying Bc I recently unlocked Leon, but in order to open the box he was in, i had to convert the power points from previous tiers to boxes, making them useless. -i know you (Kt) really like hot zone, but I’m still finding it to be overwhelming one sided more often than not. I’m not sure how they can fix this. Also, the game seems more brawler dependent than most other modes. Overall it’s ok, but I can’t say it’s at its best version. -lastly, many people have been complaining that this makes the game more P2W and it’s a cash grab, but in all honesty, the brawl pass is supposed to do that. F2P players should never get to the point of gemmers, that’s what makes them want to gem. There’s an exclusivity to gemming that allows them to be different from us. -this update for me has been an 7.5-8/10 For a future update please add more use to star points :)

I'm pretty sure progression has been nerfed. In Kairos' previous video comparing F2P rewards in the old system vs Brawl Pass, I believe he neglected to take into account the value of tickets. Under the old system: First off, it makes even more sense to buy tickets than token doublers, but let's assume that none are bought. Assuming 225.4 brawl boxes per season, and a 25% chance of getting tickets, that comes out to 56.35 ticket drops per season. I don't know the average of how many tickets come with each drop, but even with a conservative estimate of 2 tickets per ticket drop, that comes out to a total of 112.7 tickets per season. Each time there is a special event, it comes with 5 free tickets, and 10 for boss battle. I don't know how often boss battle comes up, so let's assume 5 tickets × 8 weeks is 40 free guaranteed tickets per season. Add that to the 112.7, and we get 152.7 tickets per season. Assuming max rewards per ticket, as most of us can easily get in Robo Rumble, we get 32 tokens per ticket × 152.7 tickets = 4886.4 tokens = 48.86 brawl boxes = 5 mega boxes. These are conservative estimates, so the reward from event tickets should be even more. The significance of this oversight is compounded by the fact that boxes would produce even more gems, gold, power points, and even event tickets that we get per season. Also note that Big Boxes at the end of the Brawl Pass cost 500 tokens now, instead of 400 tokens in his previous video. Add the reduction in gems, and I would not be surprised if F2P players are actually getting equal rewards with Brawl Pass, if not less.

I like this update a lot but I still have a problem of gems as I want to buy my favourite skins but brawl pass provides more value. They should have decreased amount of gems we get from boxes but not remove it. Instead of gems, pins should be bought from star tokens as it is a new currency and have only few good skins like shadow night Jessie, light Mecha Bo, night Mecha crow and some more. Gold Mecha skins doesn't look that good but that are a proof of how well u play the game.

I feel like adding quests made me want to grind less. Now I have to play as Shelly and eliminate people on maps that aren’t good for Shelly. I liked when I could play as who I wanted. I don’t mind having to do quests that require you to win in a game mode but to do it with certain brawlers makes the game a chore to me. If they let you refresh your quests and pick a new one like Clash Royale with the ability to refresh quest every 3-4 hours that’d be fine with me.

I don’t agree quests make you play more actively and you only need to complete small quests within a day the other ones last the whole season so you can wait for a good map for that certain brawler before completing the quest

What I think about this update, as a f2p player: Firstly, the brawl pass. I know that it is supposed to be better value than the 100 tokens per box, but it just doesn't feel like it, not to mention the star tokens you used to get for a big box. I feel that some of the rewards are garbage. To work so hard getting 400 tokens feels like a waste when you get 50 gold or 50 power points (not to mention, I am maxed for power points). I know that occasionally you get a mega box, I still don't feel it is worth it. Even a big box is not worth it (400 tokens for the equivalent of 3 boxes). I know, there are quests and overall the value is better. However, as a f2p, I prefer the consistent flow of regular and big boxes. The rewards to me, are underwhelming. I would prefer a big box for each reward, just a road of big boxes and gems. This will suit all players who are either maxed on gold or power points. I just don't know why they chose to make us work for 50 power points. Secondly, pins. Right now, they are useless. Don't know why they are even a reward. I am rarely in a team. They need to find a use for these pins. I do like that they brought back hot zone and a new brawler, and I definitely like that you can use gems for a brawl pass. However, overall, I feel that the whole brawl pass isn't worth it, even if the value might be better. It may be better theoretically, but I much preferred the secured, consistent 100 tokens per box. I would rate this update 3/10, the positives being the new brawler, new maps, and bringing back hot zone. BTW Kairos I love your channel, and if you do see this, know that your perspective may be different because obviously you aren't a f2p, which is fine. This is why I wanted to share my thoughts as a true f2p. I do love that you care for us f2p's. Keep up the great content!

Yes! I’m so glad someone else brought this up, because now whenever I get on the game multiple times in the day (assuming I already got done all of the quests) all I really have to do is gather a bit of tokens to slowly add to the tiers of the pass. When before I was always getting on for every new map/mode that came out to gather my star tokens and work on gaining my big box, plus it also gave more of an incentive to play different modes as not all of the quests cover a mode out that day just letting it sit there in case you want to play it from choice. Just my thoughts but I do agree with you and I miss honesty many ways of the old progression, it just seemed more fun.

A slight workaround to the box problem people are encountering: while you can’t open Gale (tier 30) without opening every reward before him on the TOP track, you can at least save all the rewards on the free BOTTOM track so that when you do get Gale you have 30 tiers of small/big/mega boxes to collect power points and level him up faster.

I remember in a previous video you said that a new brawler would have a teleporting ability and I think that gale has that. His gadget doesn't actually teleport people but it gets brawlers to places faster. I just wanted to mention this

Highly appreciated on the hardwork by KairosTime!! But one thing I would like to point out is that the increase of progression rate for F2P is exaggerated. Before the update, tickets are available and token doublers and more rewarding. As a result, the actual number for boxes per 60 days before update was not 224.5 as calculated in KT's previous video. Assuming that 32 tokens will be rewarded to each ticket, the Brawl Road update is only bringing 5-10% increment for the progression. With this being said, the extra boxes will offer some more free gems in which the expected value for gems per 60 days will be over 90. I really don't mean to criticize the hard work yet I would like to state out the fact that we may have just overestimated.

Thanks for pointing that out. I found out that Kairos' calculation is purely based on the amount of tokens, star tokens and end-of-season boxes you can earn within 54 days. He didn't consider tickets at all even though they had a very high drop rate and a good conversion rate when playing Robo Rumble. Gem income for me as an endgame grinder has decreased because tickets are gone and Big Boxes from the Championship Challenge will no longer drop gems. Sucks for me! Edit: And let's not forget about possible extra gems from boxes earned on double token events...

You’re right. Once, I spent all my money to make Emz level 9 so I got low on coins. Next day I got 1 starpower and 3 gadgets on the shop, until I got 1000 coins. Then starpowers appeared to show up in the shop the day I maxed my account. I opened A LOT OF boxes, I still had less than 2000 coins. Next day, I opened 2 more boxes and got more than 2000 coins, but the shop was already changed and I kept getting a single free box in the shop for days, just a single free box in the shop. Today, I’m only spending my money to upgrade my brawlers.

I would rate this update about an 8. There’s something about it that I’m not a huge fan of. Honestly, I don’t know what it is. I think it might be the removal of star tokens as now bad players play modes like bounty, siege, and heist now. With the star token it made semi decent players want to play those modes and actually win, now it feels like I’m playing with people who have no idea how to play the game and are just playing those modes for the damage quests. Also I don’t really care for pins. I don’t really feel the need to express myself mid battle except for maybe pass the ball,retreat (gem grab and bounty), and say who should be the lanes/mid. I think that would be really helpful with the chat bubble.

I totally agree that it feels like I’m being punished by having a maxed account and having to waste all those rewards to unlock Gale... or I have to save literally everything until the next non-pass required brawler comes out... but I shouldn’t have to be punished like that considering how much I have supported SC over the past 2 years. Gold for gems, gold for pins, gold for star points, gold for brawlers, gold for skins... there are too many “currencies” in the game (gold coins, gems, star points, and power points are basically a type of currency needed to progress as well). If coins become essentially obsolete after you are maxed, then rewards should be more star points or gems instead of coins, otherwise start selling more things for coins!

They removed tickets and gems from boxes from random opening. They gave gems in fixed number (no probability).But removed and gave like one ot two quest giving 1 brawl road level progress~ at max mega box, but similar to normal/big box Earlier 1 ticket = 32 tokens ~ 1/3 box. We used to get 89.6 tickets (ticket probability~ gem probability). = 89*32 = 28.48 which means atleast 25 boxes (for 1ticket for big game n all, n not getting 32 tokens)

Update idea: when you complete the trophie road, you unlock 'the trader'. He can exchange coins, gems, star points etc. That solves the coin problem for maxed accounts. But it should have a daily limit.

Hey Kairostime, as a F2P player I would like to share some of my views on the new brawl pass 1)As a F2P player, I usually aim that one day I would have a majority of the stuff that gemmers would have but with the addition of more exclusive stuff like the pins in brawl pass I feel that in the near future I would be nowhere near to the goal 2)At the initial progression stage of the brawl pass, I absolutely love to just progress and earn more rewards but as you advance it becomes more questionable as there are a few rewards like '50 coins' or 'a brawl box' for 400 tokens and coming from the old system I feel that it's not worth my time to try and get to the next level 3)There are a few quests like "win 10 matches with bibi" which sounds kinda ok , but if u have a brawler around 600 to 700 trophies pulling of 10 wins would prove to be a big task 4)I would like to see sort of a draft system like in clash royale where you could choose between which mission you want or like "pay 5 gems or 200 gold" to change the mission as that would be really helpful Guys pls like the comment so that Kairostime can see this comment and share his opinion with us

I’m pretty sure that when you calculated the average free gems before the update to be 88.9, you didn’t take everything into account - in two months you’d get the 250 daily tokens, 29 star tokens per week, a *lot* of tickets at roughly one box per three tickets, up to 10 big boxes per monthly challenge, a bonus big box and mega box every two weeks, and odds and ends like token doublers, free boxes, rank-up tokens, etc. I always got around 50-80 gems per month, and I’m pretty dang sure that the monthly average isn’t less than the low end of what I usually got. Primarily because of this reason, but also the inability to save boxes while opening other rewards, the update feels like a 6/10 to me. It’s definitely an improvement overall, but disappointing in a few ways.

Also, they include mega boxes in the pass, which has the same chance to get a legendary as a regular box, so they decreased the chance of getting a legendary :(

The one thing I do not like is how they have removed the star token for playing the new game mode. Now there is no need to play every game mode. Apart from that I love the update

My thoughts about this update (sorry for bad English): What I like: -pins Cool addition to the game. -environment Amazing design. -new skins (except rico) Mortis and Sprout look incredible! -new rarity & Gale Interesting mechanics. -more GEMZ GEMSSS What I don't like: -removed star token & quests I just feel like with quests you play the same brawler or game mode many times until you finish the quest. With the star token it was more fun (to me at least) because you play every mode at least once, and different brawlers are good in different modes, which makes you play with different brawlers (ex. Poco is good at gem grab and bad in solo showdown). - Removed tickets To me it was cool to spend 20 tickets on robo rumble and get 500 tokens, and I would definitely get more then 20 tickets per week. -Brawl pass One reason that I don't like this sadly: It makes you want to save gems to buy the brawl pass because of a new brawler and skins and pins. Because of that you cannot buy skins :/ (if you want to buy the brawl pass) -Hot zone When it first came out I thought that is was really cool. Now though that's not the case. When I play on a map with 2 zones (spots, I don't know how are they called) with randoms, they always go to the zone that is already "full" (you can't get any points). Also when I start the match usually the team that kills the other wins the game. My suggestion: Combine both versions of hot zone. Make maps with 2+ zones. When you are in one of the zones, the flag raises in a few seconds, and then your team is gaining points. However when you stand in the enemy zone, enemy is still gaining points until you or your teammate removes the enemy flag and raises your. This concept is from a game "Pixel gun 3d" which I played a lot and it has that hot zoneish mode. This is just my opinion, and compared to your rating, mine would be around 5/10 sadly :/

Zombieschannel Yep, I kinda hate some of the quests I’ve gotten the past days especially where you have to heal 60k hp on heist... like wtf? The only good brawlers in Heist that can heal are Barley and Bull’s Gadget. So I had to play 10+ games with Barley’s MedicalUse.

The quests appear randomly, like ‘Win 3 gams with Shelly’ which is a small quest and easy, and ‘Deal 90000 damage with Poco’ which is also a small quest and a little hard, plus my first example and second example (each) give you 100 tokens. I mean you even need to get those ‘easy’ quests.

i kinda like playing with randoms i get decent teamates most of the time and sometimes i get people completely on my wave length in brawl ball its like we know where to pass ball and ult or we spin to indicate an initiation on a goal attempt. It seems like good players know what to do when they see it making it easy to coordinate. Thats how i get those quick 10 game replay friends when we are on a massive winstreak.

Does supercell realize that having quests is going to make people play modes based on quests so they can max out their rewards each day, and not events that they like? This means their test to see if people like hot zone will be less accurate

For since I’m free to play, I like doing all the quests and getting to the next tier, but there’s so little quests to do so. I also think there should be a refresh button because the quests are sometimes way to long or hard.

The emote button should have an option slightly off to the side or upper corner when holding down on it where it has mute. So if you let go of it above the mute button it turns them off.

I think a way to make quests a bit more fun without "breaking the game balance" would be to cut the amount of tokens a regular quest gives by half and double the amount of regular quests the game gives every day

Also, if you have a high health brawler you can just run into the circle and wait to die. You're still making progress as long as your teammates can keep the enemies out of the other circle.

I feel like the best way of gaining tokens from quest is increasing the number of quest but decreasing the amount of tokens u get from so u have more easier and various quests to do I hope kairos see this :)
