Tip for the civil war. If you disband the axis before hand than you can create a faction with Austria the moment you click on the decision that starts the civil war. Doing so will give you Austria for free as the referendum will trigger shortly after you won the civil war. It will also make the civil war easier as it will cause the AI to send troops to the border with Austria.

I find it annoying that it's not possible to get rid of "Redirecting Naval Production" national spirit debuff that you get from doing "Accept British Naval Dominance" focus. Not even after capitulating the UK. And it never expires. Great video BTW.

Gotta tell you man, found this game on Xbox Gamepass for PC[I've played CK on console but had no clue this existed until this year] struggled endlessly to succeed at this game in any capacity & randomly came across you posted some strats on Reddit, decided to look you up on YT afterwards. Man, without a doubt one of the best subs I've made on YT in a long time. Super helpful, clearly knowledgeable about even the smallest details of the game/history, and probably the most subtly implemented sponsors lol. The way you just quickly incorporate whatever sponsor for the video into what you're casually talking about it is great. Wow, I was just returning to a HRE game just hours before this popped um in my recommendation. In my game I justified for the British Raj first and then went straight to civil war. After mopping up the Nazis there was enough time to rebuild and then take on Britain, puppeting them, so I did not have to think about Alliies guaranties and the Opinion limit for the Title Restoration Decision anymore. (Not justifying on UK directly seems to be the best change that their Navy is in the port on hour 0 of the war, allowing you a brief window to send your naval invasions forth)

I've had Romania do the exact same thing. They were in a faction with me, Poland gave up its eastern half to the USSR so I now had a direct border with the USSR. The Baltics didn't join my faction so I only had Romania and Finland in my faction. (Romania joined after the war kicked off and wouldn't join the war because of dangerous borders) I blow through the USSR from my border and am almost at Crimea. I call Romania in the war after I secure its border and just days later they cede Besserabia while we were at war with the USSR and winning so hard it wasn't even funny... I was maybe a month away from capitulating the USSR because I also had max collaboration set up. And Finland white peaced even though I was almost at Moscow. Oh and of course Romania gave up N. Transylvania (even though the popup said they refused) while they were in a faction with me and Hungary wasn't. All three events where Romania loses a chunk of territory is based on German support of those demands. Why the hell do they still accept them when Germany is in a faction with them? The only one I could influence was the Bulgarian one but all three should be based on German decisions. Besserabia on Molotov-Ribentrop, N.Transylvania on German support and Bulgaria is fine as is.

When I do the German civil-war I like to cheese the AI by deleting all unit templates except for a single AA unit template. The ai will only use this template in the civil war so after deleting the army all new units instantly break making the ai break on the front lines.

I tried to keep the run going and it went in a very strange direction. Japan declared war on Yugoslavia which let me get Yugoslavia into my faction. Italy never did anything until it somehow got in a war with the allies and didn’t annex Albania until it had almost lost Rome.

Tips with the new actualization: You need, for sure, a 50 of pp for the envoy, if u have little bit less, it won't trigger. Also, if u have Negative PP, United Kingdom will say no to the restoration of the titles. I have done this run like 25-26 times in a row. So, I know... hahaha.

It almost certainly doesn't matter in the long run, but you could start the initial war with Poland 5 days sooner if you justify at 50PP and just wait to get 10 more PP before taking the next focus. You're burning the same amount of focus time either way but the time between 50PP and 60PP is basically wasted.

As of the current update this method can result in a softlock out of the HRE, for me at least, either by failing to join the Allies or insufficient WT being generated. I don't have BBA, NSB, or BftB but I don't think they matter here. There might be just a few optimistions to make the method work again. The first problem is that focus which increases communism in France only does so at ~0.036 per day instead of the advertised 0.1, so instead of an increase of 72% you only get an increase of 26%. This should be enough on top of the base 20% support plus the 10% boost from the Fourth International, but I've found it tends to fall short sometimes at ~48%. I think this might be due to the French AI choosing the options which increase democratic support at the cost of decreasing stability. This means that the focus which allows you to attack France at low world tension never triggers. This can be avoided by boosting WT from annexing the Soviets, but if you annex Poland as in the video you cannot do the focus which gives you the wargoal on the Soviets (or at least I couldn't), and since Poland is dead you can't join their defensive war either. So your only hope of getting a war is by guaranteeing someone, which you need high WT for; higher than I could get. Plus, annexing any territory (I tried Poland or Switzerland) seems to throw off the AI. Italy tends to go pacifist, which makes a possible path to war by guaranteeing Greece useless, not that you could guarantee them in the first place. Japan also does not declare on the UK, which caps WT further, though they do gain a wargoal on Yugoslavia for some reason. I gave up in '42 with ~38% WT. Another possible problem (could just be anecdotal) is that the Hindenburg event seemed to trigger almost as soon as the window opens in '37. This means that you need to have begun the civil war to take the flight safety option before then, otherwise it's RNG. Lastly, the UK does not automatically accept you into the allies if you do the focus. I think it's down to either generating too much WT or still being a member of your created 'central powers' faction. I had this fail at +56 opinion. If you just go through the focuses asap, it seems to work better. I think if the pro-British focuses are taken early enough then the French AI switches to choosing to boost communism instead when those events arise, to facilitate the player. Annexing France + Switzerland should be enough to boost WT above the required 50%.
