I had all of these and foolishly sold them to a fellow manga lover in college, for like $40.... I looked them up last year and almost died seeing their value... I just purchased book 3 (the first one I ever owned) for $250, and probably won’t be collecting them all again, but glad to have my favorite book again.

So just wondering, if you get a knockoff, is there anything different about it besides the Chinese characters on the cover (instead of JP) and the thick paper for the first page? Like, is the whole thing in Chinese? Is there any difference in the quality? Thanks to anyone who answers! Also, wonderful video, loved it!

Somehow I just saw this comment. No, I've never gotten my hands on it. I would love to have it to complete my collection but in pretty sure it seems to still cost a bazillion dollars. I can't justify the cost for the fan art, even if it is famous fan art.

Do the bindings on Volumes 1 and 2 also have the shiny, gold emboss?

Sorry it took so long to reply. I had moved and only recently opened this box up. No, they are shiny but it's not the same as the embossing on the front.
