Out of all the coaches you’d have to believe Vrabel would have the best hookups for assembling a staff right?

Mike Tomlin, Andy Reid, Sean Payton, etc. The list of these types of coaches at this level goes on and on. Too bad none of these are actually an option. Thinking in hypotheticals is not how to run a professional organization. They need to choose someone with these qualities who they can actually hire.

The fact that they have 32 people in these interviews with the coaches, shows the dysfunction. Why are all those people in there? That means that each person has some form of input. If all of them want a particular coach and Ryan Poles disagrees, I bet that matters.

These guys are responsible for hiring TWO OC and ONE HC that were abject failures and it took them TWO years to fire a guy that should have been gone after year one and now they are going to be responsible for hiring the next HC it’s laughable. Then you have the owner saying that the relationship between the HC and the GM is not that important and even though he says he takes responsibility for the teams failure he said the same thing last year and NOTHINGS changed. You guys as sports media need to call out this BS for what it is instead of worrying about Ryan Poles feelings. If George M wanted to be responsible for the last 2 years he would fire BOTH Warren and Poles. Then you have George M saying they have no intention of changing their management structure which is what Johnson would want if he were HC. Well the Bears management structure is 5-12 this year and Detroit is 15-2 because they understand OC HC GM and owner all need to be on the same page.

Sell the team
@sowpow69Күн бұрын
Sell the team chants are a joke. Especially coming from fans that just patronized the owners! They're not like the good owners are. They don't care if they win. They just keep counting the money!
@edwardfurlong2708Күн бұрын
We all know they won’t sell the team. The point of the chant is to put heat on them. George said as much today. He’s more phased by Lions fans taking over meaning the ticket holders are selling their seats. When he said he wants to put out “ a team that excites fans not to sell their seats, says it all.” You’re right it’s about the money. But his thoughts should be, let’s give the fans a perennial SuperBowl contender. Shoot I’d take NFC North contenders at this point. Super Bowl should always be the goal, so it says a lot that George never mentioned that. He doesn’t care to be in the spotlight. He just wants money. If they become SB contenders too much light will be shown on him and he just wants the pay checks for the family to keep coming

OK, I'll bite. I love straightening out the ignorant ones who follow the media down these negative paths. First off, George Halas was a founder of the NFL. Why would the league approve of any sell of this team from George's family? It is not how the NFL and their value system works. Secondly, the price tag on the Bears is enormous. One of the highest priced teams in all of sports. Not many would even be able to consider this purchase. Do you have a buyer in mind? Didn't think so... Thirdly, the Halas money has worked extremely well for the Bears. They have never been hesitant to spend. Why do you want someone else's money? Do you know how the other Chicago teams operate financially? Bears are fine with the Halas money. I didn't even get to he ridiculousness of these replies focused on something that is not a problem to begin with. Some of these posters actually think that a team makes more money when they lose. Probably the most ludicrous thing yet. Truth is that the media has led you to this retarded concept (along with many other negative thoughts towards the team as well). You need to stop echoing the podcaster's guesses and hypotheticals because these fictional accounts just sound so f---ing ignorant. The media knows nothing and will even know less in the future because they f---ed the team over this year. Do not buy into their negativity. The Bears won't anymore. That is for sure.

Poles called the media out on their lame projections onto the Bears. That was cool! Almost every podcast, the talking head must project what a player or coach is thinking onto them. It is the biggest problem with the media. It is not even close to reality. There was nothing else that really happened at this presser. The three Bears officials gave the "f--- you, media" answers that will be necessary going forward. That was cool. Liked everything about the way these three handled the vultures today.

Guys, Joe Brady is not nothin. Worked with Sean Payton has done very well… maybe we get to see him go up against KC. I think has to beat Sean Payton and Denver first? Important to follow.
@Chitex03Күн бұрын
If we miss on Ben Johnson, the 2nd best offensive HC candidate may be Joe Brady. I’d still take Vrabel as the 2nd option, but I’m thinking the Bears won’t land the top 2 candidates.
@346rtКүн бұрын
@ I have no idea except everything they’ve talked about suggests a longer process than we are used to. I suspect all the primary guys will be coaching in the last two playoff games and it’s possible we see Brady against KC and then Johnson in the Super Bowl. I believe they are waiting this one out. I think they let Vrabel go to New England unless they somehow lock in on him. Remember they will need an assistant GM when they interview some of these guys. Carol is very interesting for an absolute ton of reasons.

@@Chitex03 Ben Johnson is not qualified. If he wants to be a head coach, he needs to get some experience with another team first. No more on-the-job trainees anymore. It killed this team twice in past 7 years. Maybe you forgot already?
