Thank you Divyanshu. You are welcome. I congratulate you on spotting these videos. I have the advantage of having learned directly from Japan, and am blessed with the group of passing out students (as in the video), who have also studied briefly in Japan.They enjoy the depth of understanding; they go out of the way to help make these insightful videos. I thank them profusely. Operations Management has chaged 180 degrees to customer orientation, as contrast with the traditional cost orientation. Sadly most faculty continue to teach the old stuff. I am a professor and global consultant. Every bit we bring in the video is tried and tested with my clients. I am sure, you will enjoy the other videos. I would particularly draw your attention to one on lead time reduction while lowering working capital. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIGZhXV_rKygpJI Enjoy and learn. God bless you.

@DrG7202143 жыл бұрын
The principles are exactly the same. The concept shown here is Hiroti Yatai Seisan (Single PErson Workstation). In the cae of bigger equipment or machines, it becomes Single person cell (often in U shape). Where single person cell is not possible, more people are employed. The whole point of kaizen is about eliminating non value adding work.

Sir in IT we see that first we had simple laptops but now we can get laptops which can be converted to a tablet with touch screens on which you can write! Can this be considered as kaizen ?
@DrG7202145 жыл бұрын
Yes, Neeraja, it can be considered as a kaizen since we went from one standard to another. However, there is a capital investment involved. In good kaizen, we avoid financial investment, usually by focusing on changing the method.
