One cute yellow kakriki Came to my house from back garden became Very friendly jst in a day or two It stayed happily with me as my best child i named Chiya... yday he followed me n got hit by closing door n died....i burried n offered all hi fav food n flowers....i m Not able to bear this pain.....It was an angel sent by God i was Very happy..... i am away from my family Chiya gvn me love hggs n company.... Not able to forget....big drawing room was d place to Sit n play hardly in cage

Hii! I rescued a Kakariki a couple months ago! At first he was so shy and scared, we think it's because they didn't let him out of the cage in the previous house he was in, but he still refuses to get near us... I always see this videos of them being so close to people so maybe it's just him that is shy... Could you give me any tip? Thanks a lot! 🥺

Great rescue! Building up trust and a relationship needs a lot of time. Let him do the first steps. Sit next to him, maybe you find out which food he likes most. When you can directly feed him it is just a small step that he will come onto your arm.

hey, chances are high that two will mate and the other is not allowed in their territory. We have 5 boys and 2 girls. Works good.
