The issue was bandai didn't want to commit to a live service title that required the attention GunEvo needed. You have to be huffing paint if you believe corpo executives axe games purely on whether or not a game is "good". Especially since GunEvo kept players even until the end. And not every game needs to be a specifically, niche focus. Especially considering IPs like Gundam are dying on the game side because of its lack of staying presence with their niche titles like GBO2 and Breaker 4, who fail to hold large player numbers. Especially since a lot of the most profitable and successful games don't focus on trying to make some niche, and rather are built off of bases that have already existed in the market. A game isn't successful purely off of uniqueness, but rather if it is just fun to play and feels good. Its why GBO2 hemorrhages players because it doesn't feel good to play and so players leave as quickly as they come in.

If only they would make a Gundam Breaker style game with large scale PvP, then we wouldn't need this mess! One can only hope... Seriously though, get rid of all of this, make a small hub world where the players appear as the pilots, and the fully customizable MS units can do PvE mission (PSO2 style), and PvP, both as smaller arena shooters, and on a larger war map with 50 or so people. It would be great!

Seeing this review (particularly the making of your avatar and it's POV:mainly seeing it's back in Overworld (is that the area your avatar walks around?)), reminds me of the Dreamcast game from 2000 Phantasy Star Online Where you can make a character as part of a team sent to a planet for a mission (I never went online on it however) The animation of this Gundam Metaverse reminds me of that game from 2000 I manly got the Dreamcast because it had the game Gundam Side Story 0079 Rise from the Ashes about the White Dingo MS team in Australia around the time of the One Year War
