Hi guys, I'm a huge gai fan, his my number 1 favorite, but I need to clear something up. When gai fought Madara,Madara was not serious at all. He just wanted to see what the 8th gate of death can do.True, 8th gate of death is extremely powerful, but rinnegan,sharingan powers are just too crazy and of a different league..But one thing I can say is that Madara was actually very shocked by gai's final attack, night gai , he really did not expect night guy to be that powerful, it is so fast it literally bend space, Madara was not able to react to night gai at all, in the animation we see night guy take few seconds to reach Madara, it's because if they were to show the true night guy speed, we would see nothing.. it's just too fast.. So how strong is Might Gai ? I would say against almost any opponent without sharingan or rinnegan, he can win. Also I think at 6th gate, gai's strength or punch is already far greater than tsunades strength and punch.Also in a fight of only taijutsu, 7th gate gai would beat anyone even Naruto and Sasuke, this is of course in case of taijutsu only. His taijutsu is just on a different level starting at 7th gate . I like gai sensei a lot, but we must all admit, sage of six paths power, sharingan,rinnegan is just on a whole different level it cannot be compared with taijutsu..

I think that Kakashi has no chance against night guy, even with the DMS. Guy almost killed Madara when he opened his 8th gate. unless he manages to survive before guy becomes tired and his gates closes. Edit: A summary of the replies: -Madara was just messing around and wasn't serious with guy. -Kakashi can use his kamui and hide (until Guy gates close and then come back and finish him). -Kakashi was able to handle kaguya (and kaguya is stronger than Madara). What I think: It can go however the writer wants. But I think that Guy is fast enough to one shot Kakashi (if he was already in his 8th gate) even before Kakashi uses his kamui.

If gai does go 8 gates, there is still no eye in boruto that can keep up with it. And it makes no sense that you think gai wouldn't dodge Raikiri or kamui. Both those attacks weakness is a fast opponent. If normal fast characters can dodge amaterasu, the same goes for kamui. Btw, pain shooting a nail isn't that fast in the Narutoverse. All I picture is Kashi going susanoo, and gai blitzing him through the susanoo, since his susanoo isn't as fast.
