I like how the designs also show how you described Kirari's and Yumeko's characters as a way to show duality. Both of them are the same yet complementary. Red vs. Blue, Black Vs. White. One detail I love especially is the hairstyles. Kirari wants to be in control of her environment, as shown by the intricate braid loops. Meanwhile Yumeko choises to be an active participant in the chaos that is gambling, and it manifests as she lets long hair flow naturally

Yeah. I do wish the anime could continue, as I think the Election Arc is easily the series' strongest arc, but they'd really have to pull something off to fix the contradictions of the anime original content LOL

Finally a video that explains how kakegurui is actually good, I seriously hate it when people compare this show to Kaiji, it makes no sense, kakegurui and Kaiji are two different anime’s that have different aspects of gambling, it’s just bad to compare them.

It isnt shown in the main series but midari got a spin off and her "lackys" are her genuine friends. They help get gamble and care deeply for her. Even stopping midari from ending her own life on many occasions.

There is a spin off manga called Kakegurui: Kari which show the cast doing everyday slice of life things. From them having eating contest to Midari and sayaka picking up litter and watching nature documentaries together.

nice , i really enjoyed Kakegurui .. its not a good gambling show , it more about excentric personalities and lesbians tension .. but its very iconic and entertaining .. Immensly popular as cosplay .. mary , kiriari and yumeko are nerly as cosplayed as Marin Kitegawa, Raiden Shogun or Makima .. Yumeko Jabami is an amazing female protagonist .. horny , mean , brave and inteligent ... on the level of Ryuko Matoi , Akame or Kurumi Tokisaki as a waifu

Where the hell is Tsuzura Hanatamari in the original series? She is from the Kakegurui Twin prequel and is one of Mary's closest friends. I can understand if the other Twin characters (Yukimi, Aoi, Sachiko and Sakura) had already graduated by the time the first series started, but what happened to Tsuzura?

How is it possible that the Student Council and President Kirari controls the entire school? Shouldn't there be teachers in this school? Why didn't they do anything to stop their students from gambling in the first place? Doesn't the school have a Headmaster? Where is the Headmaster anyway?

@@hopkin2006 this is a very good question actually, cause it was in the back of my mind while reading the story lol. My take on this is that the classes are simply irrelevant to the narrative so it gets completely sidelined. The thing about Hyakkou Academy is it isn’t a typical school, as your status is determined by your money and your skills at gambling as shown with how things are structured. Kirari’s main characteristic is that she has complete authority over everything and that she dictates what occurs in the story, and given the level of influence and connections she has to the many powerful figures, it’s how they’re capable of doing everything.
