I continue my Solo but Alone Series by meeting up with Juba from ‪@JubasJourney‬ on his Endless Africa adventure. Juba and Quin the guides of Endless Africa, set up a sensational adventure through the South African Kalahari, our group of like minded Overlanding adventurers set off into the Dunes for a night camping under the stars as we got to know each other. The main part of the Tour is actually to head into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park where we would spend 7 days, spread between the campsites; Tweerivieren, Nossob and Mata Mata. The Kgalagadi sits on the borders of South Africa, Botswana and Namibia is and is a world class wild life destination, with people traveling from a cross the world to see its amazing selection of big cats, like Cheetah, Leopard and Lion; as well as the majestic antelope, scavengers and big and small creatures alike. Join us on this epic adventure and learn about the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park and hopefully get inspired to join a journey with Endless Africa!

Recommend reading the book “Cry of the Kalahari”, by Mark and Delia Owens. Published in 1984. Incredible study over about 7 years of the ecological balance in this unforgiving environment.

Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom a show in the 70s opened up Africa and all it's beauty to many Americans like myself. So when I see episodes like this and others you share on your channel, my mind harkens back to my childhood memories of wonder and awe to see such abundant wildlife in nature.👍🏕🐾

Hi Guys, Really really enjoyed this video. Being a complete townie, born and bred in inner city London, can you explain why the lions/big cats don't attack you in camp please? Would seem like an easy meal??? Kind regards Tony
@RoamOverlanding
@RoamOverlanding Жыл бұрын
In these camps they are fenced, but in the wilder camps; they will attack you if you’re threatening and silly; but otherwise if your cautious and stay in your vehicle or your tent; you are not their trained prey, you don’t smell like a hot Sunday lunch to them, we smell foreign. Typically if a lion attacks a human they put them down as fast as possible so they don’t learn that humans are delicious snacks

You commented on a trip to Namibia that to consider yourself is not selfishness, but helps you to live a better life and a better you. Well, if you took that to the fullest extent, and all felt like that, civilization would die. Our basic tenets is love first to God and then to others.Anne de Keijzer
