Something I read a while ago about NYC is the people there are rude but helpful. The author was lost on the subway system and was interrupted by some guy who told them "Hey, you, this ain't your stop! You gotta go to the next one, wait for the A train etc." And quickly, rudely, but helpfully just got them to where they needed to go. If you break down in an intersection? Traffic's screwed, so might as well try to jump your car, push it or refill the coolant, anything to get you the **** out of the way.

I'm from New England , ct to be exact so right next to NYC...and this is ABSOLUTELY true. New england breeds it's OWN type of asshole, but you will NEVER meet some more caring and helpful people other than do e PURE old fashioned southern hospitality. New englanders mind their business....until we see something we can't be ok with. Then we will stop to help if we have to stop traffic to cross over and help.

There was a restaurant in the USA, a vet would come in but often didn't have a lot of money, the staff through would "ignore" his order, and add extra into his bag every time, extra fries, extra burger, and such. The owner found out and decided... once a week, any US Vet would walk into his place and have a free meal. This wasn't a small meal either, it often left them taking home leftovers. When other customers heard about that, they started donating money to the restaurant to help offset the cost, and make sure the owner didn't suffer for giving away that much food.

That's just awesome all around. Wish it wasn't necessary but as long as it is, it's fantastic that people willing to help others exist.
@jenniferstewarts48512 жыл бұрын
@@sylverscale Sadly its becoming more and more necessary. Many states are just destroying themselves, making taxes so high that you can't afford anything, saying they need the money to pay for... social services... While not doing anything at all for social services. Their actions driving companies out, stores shutting down unable to stay in business... And all it does is increase the crisis... where by the government turns around and says "elect us again because we need to save the homeless, save the impoverished, save the mothers who cant feed their children!" and never do anything to help them year after year.

So, from what I understand, the first one is the guy helping a person in a wheelchair, like their brakes messed up or something, idk. And I get the intention behind it, and the fact that the person did seem to need help, but either way, it seemed like the guy just moved them without confirmation that it was okay. If you ever see someone that looks like they need help, make sure they do, and that it’s okay for you to move them. When someone needs a wheelchair, or any similar mobility aid, it’s like an extension of their body. When someone else grabs and moves them without consent, they are completely helpless to stop it. I don’t have personal experience, but I know for a fact that, regardless of the intention of the person moving them, that it’s scary as hell. I fed like it should be common sense, but don’t grab people.

When I saw that part of the vid, I thought the same thing. I hope the delivery driver asked the person if they needed help before moving them up the curb.

That is, until a nearby warlord finds out and bulldozes it because he wants authority". Like seriously, the amount of people I know who have gone overseas to build wells, only to go back on another mission trip or whatever to rebuild the same well is just mindboggling to me.

When I was like five, the house behind ours caught on fire and it was kinda toxic so we have to evacuate. But I was sick and I kept crying because I didn’t have my teddy and I thought he was going to burn up. Ever since a fireman went back and got a Pooh bear for a tiny coughing baby I have thought that firemen are the coolest people in the universe. Also… every time I’ve needed a fireman they’ve been insanely hot. Okay that’s a coincidence but it’s not helping my hero worship when a sexy man helps me through a panic attack.

QUICK TIP IF YOU MOVE A TURTLE OR TORTIOSE please see where they're trying to go first. If you put them on the opposite side, even if that's the nearer side to you, they're just going to try again. Put them the direction they're headed, and they're going to be golden. Also, don't put them _in_ water. You 1. don't know what a turtle wanted to do today, don't be rude 2. a tortoise will drown I REPEAT ON CAPS SO YOU PAY ATTENTION, IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE SPECIESE, A TOURTISE WILL DROWN WHEN THROWN INTO WATER and 3. you're not an expert on what the animal needs, but the animal is pretty sure what it wants to do, so let it be that way.
