Adding a couple spoonful of unsalted peanut butter adds natural sweetness, aroma, extra linamnam and more depth to the dish, na hindi manonotice ng kakain. I also add cayenne pepper, labuyo at siling "haba"/"pansigang" if spicy kaldereta ang request ng tropa at pamilya. More power to your business idol bogs.

But other said that if you put peanut butter it might taste like kare-kare. Haven't tried it though!

@@dgred1610 just add to the point that it doesnt taste or smell. You can put it as early as after the "gisa" phase. You can start at 1.5 spoonfuls to be safe. And to be honest, peanut sauce is always a secret ingredient to many filipino food. From barbecue sauce, sweet/dry adobo, all the gata/coco milk dishes, even in pata tim or any soy-based braised dish.
