Hey there Fiber Spider! I'm watching this series for the second time! I think this is a really cool afghan and will do one in the near future. Right now I'm in the middle of a shawl for my aunt. My next project (which i have to admit, i already did a little bit of...🙀 ) is the Lace Embrace Shawl for myself. I watch your tutorials, while I've been working on this shawl, its like having a friend over! I enjoy the chatting as you "visit". btw...I talk to my yarn too! LOL I even listen to your tutorials while I'm at work! You are a great teacher. Thank you so very much. I too LOVE granny's, I'll share that story another time. If not for your tutorial i would have NEVER even attempted anything as beautiful as the Lace Embrace Shawl. You are a very generous guy putting so much time into making your videos!

Theresa Jackson I learned to crochet when I was 10...the first thing I made was a small granny square lapghan. It is probably the only thing I remember about learning to crochet. If I could do it at 10, I have faith that you can do it as well!!! Follow his tutorials and you will succeed!!!

I feel very stupid for asking this but on the triangle pieces how can you tell you’re at the end of the road?
@jenniferdellagatta87187 жыл бұрын
do you happen to have a written version of your beautiful pattern?
@FiberSpider7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, but no, that is why I'm doing this crochet along. You see, you can make this blanket the same way I am, or use a different sized square in the center which would offset the whole pattern. In either case there is no right or wrong, just different. And I encourage experimentation as it leads to growth. Regardless, keep stitching! 😊

I keep getting confused..
@abbachris7 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Dellagatta me too? I'm not sure if I should slip stitch or chain up at the beginning of each round?
@FiberSpider7 жыл бұрын
When starting a new color, you pull up a loop, chain one, and single crochet in the 3rd stitch from the last color. To continue rows with the existing color, connect the last cluster by chaining one, slip stitch into the 3rd stitch from the last, then chain 2, then single crochet into the 3rd from that and turn to finish the cluster with 2 more double crochet stitches.

how many parts have you done in this series?
@FiberSpider6 жыл бұрын
I did a total of 16 videos for this series. I didn't finish the blanket on camera because I figured I did enough repeats at that point.
@johnastokes82015 жыл бұрын
Fiber Spider how many repeats did you end up doing? Would you recommend using. variegated yarn for this project? This is very interesting one thank you for posting. Have you done any more crochet alongs?

One of my all-time favorite movies was the Incredible Mr. Limppet. It is so hard these days to find anything, including some kids cartoons that doesn't have any cussing. Personally if anyone used vulgarity around me I will call them out and ask them to stop. If they don't I walk away with a very low regard for them.
@FiberSpider7 жыл бұрын
In media these days there is always a fine line between what is and isn't acceptable, even on KZbin. My rule of thumb is don't do it if I think it would upset my mother 😊
@jacibledsoe96477 жыл бұрын
Fiber Spider funny if I think it would upset "Daddy" I won't do it. I read you grandchildren when I am there. I do all of the voices and intonations that I remember my dad doing...lol..they love it.
