Ah the group called Kaleidoscope Actually Started as the first of January. Were managed by Loyd Dowdell who used to live on Grove st in East Orange NJ. I had taken them down to Philly a couple of times to meet with Norm Harris. I am still friends and keep in touch with some of them, and if anyone is interested in getting a copy of song on cd let me know.

Now I realise that Norman Harris is credited with its arrangement but it has Thom Bell/Bobby Martin's fingerprints all over it. Could've been written for Blue Magic and even has a transition that sounds very similar to on e in Born On Halloween. I'm convinced that they simply used the original backing track as the arrangement is exactly the same, re-recording the vocal tracks. Fantastic tune :-)
@ujimajame46016 жыл бұрын
Let's not forget Ron Baker-Norman Harris and Earl Young played on everything out of Philly, not to mention MFSB, so even on Thom Bell and Bobby Martin's productions you are going to hear Baker-Harris-Young. And, by the way, Earl Young is the same drummer who gave disco the high-hat sound and is a member of The Trammps! If the music on "Thank You" reminds you of the sound you hear on Blue Magic cuts, check out Kaleidoscope's "We're Not Getting Any Younger"!
