Or, being raised with so many animals makes a person choose to not have pets. Growing up we had dogs, cats, gerbils, turtles, baby chickens (briefly), rabbits and even roly-polies! I got burned out taking care of them over the years. In the past 45 years during marriage, divorce and single parenthood, there has been 2 cats, 1 Chihuahua and (currently) my daughter's rescue dog. That's enough for me. Also, we had neighbors who had horses (on 2 acres) and we were downwind so... horse flies, no pool and no picnics on our 2 acres. Large pets in a non-rural area is not a great idea.

Animals can show you so much love. Once after a heartbreak I was crying in the floor looking at old photos and my little dog came in the room and laid her head on my leg and just laid there with me. She knew I was hurt and wanted to be there. I will NEVER forget that little precious gift I rescued one rainy night in the woods.

I absolutely love this woman. She is the most genuine person and that is so appealing. She’s got a fantastic attitude towards life, parenting and really shows what fame and fortune can really achieve. She shows it’s more than just herself. Great role model.
