Also, cloth pads have been around longer than disposable ones and they are great and hygenic! In fact, cotton ones are safer than any disposable ones because they don't have rayon in them. Also, tampons and pads make up a huge amount of landfill waste and they're only a fairly recent invention. I would recommend looking into them if you are curious, they are worth it and save you a lot of money. I personally use period undies, I prefer them!

Ooo can you share which brand of period undies you use?! I have been wanting to try them but don’t know anyone who uses them to ask which brands are good, and they’re too expensive to be trying a bunch of different brands 😅 I recently switched to a period cup which is okay, but it’s still pretty uncomfortable for me and makes my cramps worse, so I’m desperate for any other products I can try where I don’t have to insert anything or feel super messy like with traditional pads.

7:35 Cloth pads are basically just disposable pads, but reusable. Made without all the carcinogens, too. There's a company called Cariona, I think? The actual pad part is solid black, they soak up a SHIT TON, and instead of adhesives they have a snap button. Since there's no chemicals, the cramps, itching, and smells are reduced as well. Some people said that their previously chunk flows stopped clotting so much. I've never used them, this is all from Tumblr threads.

That rapture statement is SO TRUE THOUGH! There was a bit when my dad made us all go to church (I don’t go now that I have a choice) and one day I came back from work and I had had a long shift and took a quick nap. I didn’t see anyone when I had first got back but then like an hour later when I woke up there was still no one. The house was silent and the lights were all off and by now it was dark. There was a loud booming noise that shook the house and at the same time a plane passed by outside. I was freaking out as the whole “I don’t go to church and I’m gonna go to hell” thing was always a fear but I was panicking for a minute in the living room before I realized my parents were watching an action movie in the basement and had the volume up loud, we have surround sound speakers that are attached to the drop tile ceiling downstairs so when it’s loud enough you feel it on the main floor.

Cloth pads are actually wonderful. They don't (normally) have bleach or other chemicals that disposable pads and tampons have. You treat them like a cloth diaper, use a dry bag or bin to put them in until you wash them. I've heard from many women that they actually help lessen cramps and make for shorter periods 😊

@@LynSeekingHappy I never said it fixed medical problems lol I said sometimes it can help lessen cramps and shorten periods. People who struggle with endometriosis and other medical problems obviously need real help, but cotton vs synthetic materials can definitely make a difference. Same thing with underwear, cotton undies are much better for your nether regions than synthetic stuff.
@sugarkitty20082 жыл бұрын
I use reusable bamboo fibre pads and I can't say they did anything to my flow or agonizing pain. I don't see how the material you are putting on the external will effect your internal uterus or hormones. I use them since it's more environmentally friendly and also cost effective. After 10 months, I'm not spending anything on pads. After soaking and rinsing in cold water, they go in the wash with other laundry, so no more cost of detergent than would otherwise be used anyway. They get washed 3 or 4 at a time.
@dielucky33782 жыл бұрын
@@sugarkitty2008 The lessening of uterine cramps from switching to cloth pads is usually more of a tampon users' experience. I find cloth pads to make my period more comfortable because I am allergic or at least sensitive to the stuff they put in pads to make them 'deodorized' (which makes them smell so much worse than literally any other solution). I would say the thing sitting outside but against my body did affect my "cramps" in that it made my labia hurt in addition to my uterus, which I do not experience with cloth pads. I would literally spend the last three days of my period in a state of near-illness when using disposable pads, regardless of how often I changed them. I would say, in my experience, the flow is the same with cloth and regular pads, but I for sure have less overall discomfort and a more manageable mensuration with cloth.

Being a Christian myself, I completely understand, Kris. 😂 Recently too everyone thinks it’s gonna happen soon so the panic only increases even though I believe it won’t happen for thousands of years.😂 Sidenote, Love your videos and how you and Jay interact throughout them. Such a great team!❤

Kris... Thank you for your effort in your videos. The random compliments at the beginning really help brighten my day and then just seeing your energetic and funny reactions are just the cherry on top. I know this is prob cheesey but I feel like a lot of the really good KZbinrs aren't getting the love and recognition they deserve. Keep up the amazing work and i hope you have a wonderful morning/day/night!!

Ngl cloth pads changed my life. They're absorbent and can be machine washed just fine. I used to always get a rash from disposable pads or risk making cramps worse with tampons. Found out after my period stopped from hrt that the rash from disposable pads was almost definitely from the chlorine used to sanitize them and I could've fixed it by buying the stupid expensive ones that don't use that. Pretty pissed that it's completely legal for companies to sell us chlorine coated leaky cotton to press against our genitals but I guess that's the companies right as a 'merican

It's so relieving to know I'm not the only one out there who can focus so much on something that they forget to blink! People get confused when I mention I have a blink button specifically for that on twitch...

The most relatable of this and every video she posts is Kris. She compliments us all so insisting and sincerely that it's impossible to not get a mood boost from every video. This wonderful and complex woman shows us in every video, parts of the mosaic that makes up that stained glass window, that shines so beautifully different in every type of light. You are well worth every comment made and second viewed Kris, I just wanted to be certain you understood that. Keep being awesome Kris, take care and stay safe.

When I was 3 months old the doctor told my mother I was weird and she just had to be more stern with me for me to turn out normal. And she was. I was always happy to be out with friends and extended family because I got to do so much stuff I wasn't allowed to at home, while my bro could say and do stuff I'd never even dream of... Until a few years ago when a team of psychiatrists determined I did in fact fit into several psychological "challenges" and my "odd behavior" had an actual scientific basis,. It's amusing to see how my "normy" 10y older brother has tantrums and demands stuff while I, the traumatized hyperactive burned out gifted autist, just sits there eating her snacks, knowing he's heading straight for disaster. Not to mention he demanded to speak to my psychiatrists because he didn't believe it. Even though mom was there for the final verdict, I have it on official hospital papers and even the government knows of it. But hey! After that he still didn't believe it XD He's convinced I'm the best actress in the world apparently to fool 5 seasons professionals on several different occassions and tests. Oh, and I'm the youngest. Most defininetly the most trouble, but not in the way people expect when they hear that -lol-
