Great vlog. Are the whales there all year? or like the dolphins only there for a short season?

Thanks for watching. The three main whale and dolphin watching areas in Sri Lanka are Mirissa in the south-west, Trincomalee in the north-east and Kalpitiya on the northwest coast. The most frequently targeted species of whale for whale watching in Sri Lanka is the blue whale, which can be observed off the coast of Mrissa and Kapittiya between December and March, and off Trincomalee between March and July.

Both dolphins & whales are there all year around. It’s their home. They don’t leave the Sri Lankan warm waters. It’s just we cannot sail 6 months of the year due to high tides & monsoon.

Thanks for watching. I guess it' delicate subject. However, it's quiet important humans understand the boundaries and respect the nature. It's start from educating from young age.
