Thanks for showing Kamakura, I was born there and grew up in Akiya/Hayama/Zushi-shi first eight years then my family immigrated to New Zealand. It's nice to see changes in Kamakura since our last visit in 2005 and still, and old historical traditional markets still operating to this day 👍🏻

I absolutely loved this tour of Kamakura so much!! I remember the Great Buddha. Natsukashi ne!! Ofuna is so close by. I often look around at the surroundings to see if I recognize anyone. I have many many cousins on my mama's side in that area. Dad's side is all over Shizuoka. I miss Japan so very much! Thank you for sharing all of the delicious foods. The lemon pancakes looked absolutely amazing!

Zucchini/Squash Blossom flowers are quite a popular ingredient in Mexican cuisine, squash blossom quesadillas for example, I see they are also used in Italian dishes.

So much beauty, history, and delicious food! Also, trains! 😊Thank you for taking us along to a few of your favorite hidden spots in Kamakura, Shinichi and Satoshi. The "hidden gems" videos are some of my favorites because I prefer to travel off-season and go to the places less visited by tourists. And, honestly, your handsome, smiling faces and obvious enjoyment are enticing recommendations for any destination. Love to you both, as always. ❤❤

I love this video, I ended up added all of these to my upcoming itinerary! The hydrangea’s were so beautiful too - thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to try the raisin wich, thank you for mentioning they last a while so they are great to take home. Kamakura is near the start of my trip, would you think they would last for about 2-3 weeks (if I don’t eat them all before then!) 😊

This is one of your most enjoyable videos. All of the foods were interesting, the temple and grounds were beautiful, and like Satoshi, I love trains. I grew up in an apartment building overlooking railroad tracks and as a child, counted the cars on the freight trains as they went by. Later, I was very excited to meet a neighbor who actually drove one of those trains. Where I live now, I cannot see trains, but I hear them at night.

I love Kamakura! Great place to just walk around and see what you come across. Most tourists stay either around the station or around Hase station but Kamakura has so much more. They have a lot of hiking trails as well. I did the one beginning just past the daibutsu and it gave great views of Kamakura, but you need good shoes as part of it was very much a hike. And I like to see what the stations on the enoden line have. You can find great shops and cafes and such.

In Italy we use the zucchini or squash flowers in many ways: risotto, pasta sauce, stuffed with ground meat or cheese, battered and deep fried, I also see it sometimes as a topping on pizza... I believe even French and Spanish cuisine use it. Just remember to remove the pistil inside!

Beautiful video, as always. Greetings from Brasil! About the italian cuisine, Bagna Cauda is one of the sweet memories I keep of my late father. He used to cook Bagna Cauda to us with a recipe of his italian grandmother. Here in Brasil no one knows this dish because it is from Piemonte, in the North of Italy. When I want to remember my father I like to prepare Bagna Cauda. What vegetables you eat with this dish in Japan? ❤

What would you suggest we do?
