I admire Japanese people for being so passionate about studying. Their school system seems really strict but efficient, while our German system is worse than its reputation (since it is sometimes considered as one of the best in EU). On the other hand I'm extremely glad that I have no 12 + hour school day, which apparently is the case in Japan, even though that might be one of the major reason why their students are considered 'best worldwide'. It might come in handy later on in their adult life but it seems to me that their childhood (included teenage years) are by far not as joyful as the ones if European kids/ teens. Don't even know the point of that comment right now; just wanted to put that out there :P
