That's alright, it's excusable. More often than not we end up cooking this very same Dosa at home (san the the Masala Potato mix) - we call it the Plain Dosa, quintessentially consumed with Sambar & Coconut chutney. That's the breakfast at our homes on most days around. Also Idli - oooh how much am I craving for some Idlis right now...!
@rajeevbudhiraja67884 жыл бұрын
Honestly more like a C
@qkbarbland43323 жыл бұрын
If you're not south indian yourself you wouldn't know that these types of fat dosas exist and are more common actually than your regular thin dosa. We call it set dosa, it pairs well with chutney and sambar, more so than crispy ones.
@drowsydhruv10703 жыл бұрын
@@qkbarbland4332 I have ate set dosa, but I have never seen someone serving set dosa with potato filling inside, the ones with potato filling inside are always made thin and crispy
@qkbarbland43323 жыл бұрын
@@drowsydhruv1070 Lol I mean yes and no at the same time, the consistency of dosas depend on the batter. The usual crispy dosas you get from restaurants use semolina, black gram and rice flour to give it that crispiness, else it will be dense. As mindy did not make her own batter, and bought it from the store, 90% of store bought batters are made so they can be used for Idly AND dosa. Idly is essentially the same batter sans the semolina and rice flour used for crispiness. So when people make Batter at home they usually make a huge batch that can be used for both dosa and idly, so when you want to make dosa out of the batter, you lay it on thicker than usual because it doesn't have the crisp agent and hence can't be taken off the pan easily/doesn't taste good either. Hence why having thicker dosas is completely normal, and I mean hey, if the masal is good it's not a problem. This actually shows how cooking is different in restaurants and homes, at home we eat dosas if they taste good that's the only criteria.

It’s really awesome that you’re showcasing your Indian heritage like this!
@bhaddock92775 жыл бұрын
I'm all for people showcasing their heritage, I'm Scottish and proud of it. It's only a problem when people use it to win votes as that smacks of racism. Politicians should ask to be voted for by their policies not because of their heritage or gender. I'm very aware of these things as I was brought up to ignore what colour or sex someone is but I see that American's love to identify themselves as a certain race, colour or gender when really they should look past all that stuff.
@indogeek78285 жыл бұрын
I agree with you completely that one shouldn’t vote for a candidate just because if their race or gender, that would be irrational. I’ve actually heard a lot of people from outside the United States share the same sentiment about feeling that Americans focus too much on race, heritage, etc. I would respond to that by saying that our own unique history and background, while not comprising all of our identity, makes up a significant part of it. Being an Indian influences much of my life and so if I were to push that part aside, I would effectively be covering up a significant portion of my identity. I think other minorities feel this same way too. In regards to politics, I’m not gonna lie and say that Kamala Harris being Indian has no impact on my support for her, it definitely does. The important point though is that I support her holistically as a candidate. With her, I see a candidate who is going to push for issues that Americans have been pushing on for so long (gun control, immigration, freedom of health care, etc.), and she also happens to be Indian, so I personally know that she will not push my community to the side, but make sure the issues that are important to us will be given the same significance as other issues relating to all communities. I think her showcasing her Indian heritage like this (because it’s not talked about a lot) is a great way to show the south Asian community that she is with us. Thanks for your comment, I really do think dialogues like these are important in truly understanding each other across the political boundary.

@Rahul Shanbhogue even if there are cases of voter fraud it wouldn’t make a difference. Do you know why? Because you can’t fake electoral college votes since these people who take part in the process are specifically picked by the government. So even if trump got more votes from the public than Biden, it wouldn’t make a difference because electoral votes over power the popular vote. Hence why Trump won in 2016, even though he didn’t win the popular vote.

"HEART BREAKING 💔💔💔 NEWS" : The recent huge victory of Kamala Harris in America, again tells us a very very very "STRONG" message that ,"CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATION" Boys are getting completely failed in their life and career and hence all those "BOYS" are finally becoming "COMPLETE USELESS, EXTREMELY SHAME and HUGE BURDEN" to their parents till the end of their life and the "FUTURE GENERATION" Girls are going to rule the world at higher most Executive positions with extremely Huge Salaries in top most Companies around the World, in almost all the fields. And Finally...the Parents of the newborn "GIRL" babies are really the most Luckiest and Gifted parents in the World, because only these new born "GIRL" babies are the "FUTURE GENERATION" girls who are going to rule the World,in top most Executive positions in top most Companies around the World, one and only through their extreme Smartness, Intelligence and Brilliance !!!!! And the Parents of the newborn "BOY" babies should be in "Extreme Fear and Danger", since they have to face "Extreme Suffering and Huge Shame" through their "BOY" babies, till the end of their life 😞😞😞 #GirlsRuleTheWORLDfornext50Years #FutureGenerationGirlsROCKS
