Jan 2020, the tariffs for China were reduced and some eliminated yet prices skyrocketed… clearly had the opposite effect from what this person said. China makes more money and pays less on tariffs currently. So wouldn’t increasing the tariffs reduce prices because the higher the price of goods the more they would pay in tariffs?
