Removing Stock Entune Radio from 2014 and up Toyota Tundra

How to remove the Entune Radio from the 2014 and up Toyota Tundra in under 15 minutes.
Tools you will need:
10mm socket
6 inch or longer extension for the 10mm socket
Ratcheting wrench
Nylon pry tool

Nice. Very helpful. I will be purchasing either an alpine halo, or the daisata like you have. How is that rattle for the android unit holding up? One of the only reasons I thinking of goin to alpine is the rock solid build.

Turns out I was missing the pins that lock the screen in place. Replacing them made it solid as a rock.

What connectors would I need if I wanted to go from non JBL to JBL

I believe that is a different body harness. Honestly for the cost you would come out better and probably cheaper to just upgrade the stock head unit and speakers. Check out tech12volt. Owner is James Randy Taylor, he does custom sound systems for tundras and is a super nice guy. Tell him what you want and your budget and he will try to make it happen.

To swap from JBL to non and vice versa requires you also replace the amp system under the passenger seat with the matching amp of the head unit you want to install. They are completely different systems and not compatible. Doing this is NOT worth the cost or effort, and you gain NOTHING with the JBL, they both equally suck and have the exact same issues.

There will be a jbl emblem on the radio or speaker grill

Little tip shorten your video. This takes roughly 5min to take out tops.

If only the radios were as good as the removal process is easy. Hate this pos radio and amp system, my touch screen died on the bottom half, then the entire screen cracked in cold weather one day. These things cost insane money new, and even used go for $300-800 from people. Putting in an aftermarket system requires all manner of expensive complex work arounds due to the absurd amp system, and lots and lots of rewiring. All this because these radios SUCK, their max volume is a joke (Even my JBL) is so pathetic you can barely hear it over the open windows when at highway speeds, at max volume. Everything about this system is utter trash, except the easy removal process for the head unit itself. Thank god I FINALLY found a used one for $300 to replace my broken one so I can have hands free calling again! Once I finish paying off the truck, I get the joy of ripping ALL this pos system out and installing a much nicer aftermarket system that will still work with my steering wheel controls and backup camera. Fun times.
