His name is Tommy Karivek aka Swedish Superman. Tommy has said Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica is his idol because Tony has a similar vocal range to Tommy and Tony is the reason Tommy got into Metal.

Tommy Karevik is currently my favourite male rock singer, just inching ahead of Roy Khan, Kamelot's previous singer

Yes! Love this! Alissa singing growls and clean!.. Did I tell you this was part 3 of a three video trilogy? part 1 "Phantom Divine" part 2 "Insomnia"! - idea for another triple feature? (same 2 songs as in the "ads" at the end of first video) ... Oliver Palotai on keyboards - Simone Simons' (Epica) husband! Metal is Family! Haven't heard the covers before. Melissa was beside herself with joy! (LOL!) The mix of vocals was closer to a live version of Kamelot where Alissa had more to do..... Sophie - top marks for her parents! Never give up! Metal is Family!

The answers to some of your questions: Yes, Melissa sings in the original key of the song, although some parts are in more comfortable octave for her voice. Yes, she used the original instrumental by Kamelot. The video version is a little bit shorter than the album version of the song.

Yes please more more!!!😋😋😋 I think it would also be cool to see a cover of a cover... A new interpretation of Fear Factory’s cover of “Cars” by the Cars Or Alien ant Farm covers “Annie are you ok” by Micheal Jackson Ooor... a cover of a covered cover...😂😂😂 Theory of a dead man recovers Him’s cover of “Wicked Game” by Chris Issak Ok this is now officially nutz Cover to the fourth power... Acoustic version from Stone Sour. For this song you could literally argue for each and every version would a mash up be possible!!!😂😂😂🤓 Awesome emotion anyway you cut it.

You need to do March of Memphis by kamelot it is during the Roy kahn era you won't be disappointed make sure you do the music video or live. Just Don't do the one with Tommy
@ForsakenPhoenix4853 жыл бұрын
Okay this video is pissing me off because none of you are giving Roy the respect that he deserves. Because he was the frontman before Tommy was. So Roy had set the bar so high that Tommy is trying to hit it. Tommy is a great voice but Roy Khan is a lot better
@PeTTs0n883 жыл бұрын
Of all the dumb... Mark Vanderbilt was Kamelot's singer and Rob Beck was the original before Khan, what's your point? Tommy is an insanely talented singer. As is Roy. Cool to hear your opinion on who's better - shame it's irrelevant.
@jorgengabrielsson66603 жыл бұрын
Kamelot without Khan🙄no thanks
@PeTTs0n883 жыл бұрын
Kamelot without Karevik? No thanks. Oh btw, Rob Beck was the original singer, not Roy. And then there was Mark Vanderbilt also before Roy. Don't get me wrong, they're all great singers, but don't go full elitist bullshittery. Kamelot has produced some seriously awesome stuff with both Roy and Tommy. (Mark was before my time.) Full. Stop.

@@jorgengabrielsson6660 Well, sucks to be you I guess? I'd say Tommy is keeping the bar for Kamelot high. Real high. Seeing the praise he constantly gets left and right I'm not alone in thinking it either. That's not saying Roy is any less good a singer though, he kicked serious ass in Kamelot in the years he was part of it. But stop looking in the rear view mirror, we're not going that way. If you don't like the band anymore, find another. Or do it yourself. Fighting change just because you live in a time that no longer exist (no matter how loudly you whine) isn't exactly constructive in any way, shape or form. Real sick of the polar and whiny bullshit. Kamelot 10 years ago isn't Kamelot now. Get over it and move on.
