4:28 My guilty pleasure has been satiated. That look when someone first hears Melissa growl. Melissa has a voice that can just pull you in, and then she switches to her growls and rips your face off. They only response is "Thank you, do it again!" I've been following Melissa "Busy" Bonny for about 2 years, she gets better and better. She and her band-mates know how to make good music. They balance the superb clean vocals with adding the kick of her growling when it's appropriate. Also, she's one of the few growlers that I can understand the first time and not need to look up the lyrics.

@@AileenSenpai Null Positiv is another "beautiful beast" band. Her singer, Elli Berlin has such a wide range, her growls are similar to melissa, but her clean voice is a bit mor smoky. I recommend, in addition to "Wo Rauch ist", "Kollaps" and "Turm der Angst" (Tower of fear). All 3 of these songs have english subtitles. And, if you´re into more uncommon stuff, I also highly recommend Bloodywood. Especially "Jee veerey"; "Yaad"; "Gaddaar"; "Aaj" and "Dana Dan". Indian folk metal that will blow your mind!

For another Melissa Bonny project, you should check out "The Dark SIde of the Moon". That is a side project of her, some members of Feuerschwanz and of Amaranthe. They will be releasing their first album soon, but check out the song "Jenny of Oldstones", which is a song from Game of Thrones, but the band makes it a awesome metal version. That twanging sound is a jaw harp throught the video. This Feuerschwanz song is also one of my favorites because it is such a fun song. Feuerschwanz just released an album at the beginning of this year called Memento Mori. Melissa Bonny has sang for a band called Warkings they are a power metal band. The 2 songs she has sang with them are Sparta and Odins Sons. In those 2 songs she is singing in her growling voice.

Hahaha! Melissa is experienced growler! First with her old band "Rage of Light", and then in some songs with "Ad Infinitum" (I 'm the Storm and Marching on Versalles). Also, she was guest in two songs of "Warkings" like Queen of Damned (you can find all songs on Napalm Records channel). In the her side-project "The Dark Side of the Moon", she also have a good growl in the song "Jenny of Oldstones"! Hahaha! She is, also, very nice and humble person (she is beautiful) so I never meet somebody who don't like her. At least in my city!

I have to agree most people in here, any Rage of Light prior to last year is all Melissa, anything from the Warking ft. The Queen of the Damned is Melissa, more AD Infinitum is of course Melissa (use to be a solo project now her main band) and same goes with anything from Dark Side of the Moon is her side project with members of Feuerschwanz and her boyfriend (the drummer from Amaranthe [another band worth checking out])

On the opposite, if you want to hear her beautiful headvoice, listen to Fear of tomorrow, a collab with Malefistum, lyric video. For some reason I focused on your right (left from my perspective) eyebrow for your entire intro, that was fun. Now on to the actual reaction^^ Okay, so: This song is just so much fun. When I first watched the video on my own, I was just as surprised by Melissa's harsh vocals (only knew her from the "Warriors" collab as well). Now I saw Tank the Tech and you equally surprised and amazed by her growls, which is just so entertaining. I mean come on, in the outro she sounds like a literal wildcat, it's insane. I checked out a few Ad Infinitum songs at this point, and I remember really liking "Marching on Versailles". Don't recall if it has any harsh vocals, but the song hella slaps, please do check it out!

I may be late to the party but I just saw this reaction and found it very genuine funny (I tossed a subscription). I actually envy that you can still hear for the first time everything Melissa has done till now! I always think that a good entry point to know Melissa is Mechanicals with her ex-band Rage of Light. It was trance metal then and she perfected her voice in these years but it's still pretty awesome nonetheless and you get a lot she has to offers (the spoken intro, and the ending of it, gets me every single time). A fairly hidden gem that very few talk about (I don't know if it has been mentioned) is "Teardrops". Just her and Jonathan Pellet (again, Rage of Light member) on the piano. It's "only" clean voice there but it's watery eyes everytime. You probably have lots of other suggestions (she's very very active with her projects and collaborations) so I won't go any further. Have fun :)

I wish Melissa Bonny growled more - Marching On Versailles and I Am The Storm by Ad Infinitum; Mechanicals and the cover of Twilight Of The Thunder God by Rage of Light which Melissa formerly did lead vocals for, and her featured vocals on Warkings' song Odin's Sons are good ones for Melissa growling (the guy who organized Rage Of Light also does backing growls on those songs with a very similar tone). For more black female growls, a band that isn't active anymore and never got a big following but is worth checking out for your own enjoyment is Straight Line Stitch with Black Veil being a good starting point.

For hearing her growling I also would recommend checking out her work with her former band Rage of Light. A good mix of clean vocals and still a lot of growl would be "I can, I will". If you find the time definately check out "Mechanicals" as well. Ofc for only growls the otherwise suggested "Twilight of the Thundergods" is the go to song. But I presonally prefer songs where you can hear both her beautiful clean vocals mixed with her growls as they work as perfect counterparts. It's interesting if you look at stuff from earlier in Feuerschwanz's career they seem to grow into their costumes, in the early days the Armour seems less I don't know, solid or convincing but over time it gains substance... especially Hauptmann Peter Henrici... Oh and Feuerschwanz is Fire Tail in English
