The writer of the show said on Twitter that he planned to make Igarashi a single parent family since its also loosely based on his own past, it got rejected and changed. Maybe that's why the writer didn't know what to do with the parents later idk

I'm forever grateful to Revice getting me and my friends into Kamen Rider, and I love almost everything about it conceptually, but they have such a hard time balancing out the screentime between the characters.

Hiromi’s spin-off is really good and I feel it should’ve been part of the series, even if it didn’t have any rider action!

This show is fine. Just fine. As much as I wasn't a fan of Vice I thought he did have a good amount of character development. Giff as a villian I found refreshing. Like you said, he was always there and what helps for me to be honest was that he was trying to rule the world like most Kamen Rider main antagonist he just didn't care about humans and just saw them as nothing more than cattle. And he and Akaishi didn't need to be Kamen Riders at all. Now the final arc and introducing Kamen Rider Juuga I'm fine with it because that also didn't need to be stretched out unnecessarily it's fine as is. Another thing that I liked was the fact we didn't get yet another out of place finale extra final form. This season is where it was unnecessary and not needed. I disagree with Olteca however. I think he served his purpose and the show didn't need him anymore. Wether you brought him back or not I just didn't want to show to ever redeem him because he was irredeemable to me. As for the finale I think it's a great one and it's different than what we seem to always get, this big huge battle were no more punches are being pulled, the city is in chaos. I look forward to seeing the final battles of all Toku but after so much the same final battle I was starting to get bored with it.

It was my second KR after Geats and I was weary after seeing the reception for it, but decided to watch it anyways since I love the demon contract concept. And despite its flaws, I really loved Revice. In full agreement too that the ending definitely makes up for the rough final episodes. It was such an absolutely perfect finale and I love how it encapsulated all of the show’s themes of growth and family. It’s one of those endings to a show I’ll never forget, and cemented it with a special place in my heart.

Only halfway through it currently but, Revice is my version of what I heard about Hibiki if it goes south later. It may have some pacing issues and plot points being not as expanded on as I'd want them too, but I love the characters and character interactions too much for those blemishes to kill the show for me, even as someone who grew up as an only child seeing the themes of family and sibling love are really wholesome to me, and I like how Ikki and Vice contrast each other yet work together. Also the Kamen Rider Vail miniseries while should've been more than just spin off content, it's one of my favorite spin offs in Tokusatsu.

I think the act of giving it fair criticism makes it sound like I disliked it more than I did. I really really liked it and it's one of my favorites in the Rider Series, I think that's why it's so easy to get frustrated with some of its shortcomings. If everything else was mediocre for me I wouldn't have picked up on some of the things that didn't work for me. Those elements are only bad because everything else is so good. I want to cover some of the side content in the future. I really like the Vail mini-series.

@@TheHighsea I guess when I said "if it goes south" I was referring to more so the general thoughts on Revice from the fandom at large of it dropping after the halfway point, a sentiment I've also heard with Hibiki. I do totally understand the point about being frustrated by small issues more because it's highs was so high, as even my favorite Rider season has flaws I can ultimately look past but do stand out more so to me, due to how strong it's strengths are. Overall though if something has really *really* good elements, that can outweigh it's cons for me, it's how I'm able to unironically really enjoy something as messy as Sonic 06, or even Kamen Rider Decade(IDK why I keep mentioning Sonic with Rider). Thanks for coming to my Ted talk, I really need to work on not rambling

@@HordikaNate3821 Revice is Underrated It's My Favourite Reiwa Rider out of what I've seen I understand it has issues but I felt fucking invested with the characters and their story and loved almost every moment of it + Not as Good as Saber But Better Than Zero-One and Geats Which Was Sandwiched Between Them + Fun fact Saber Being So Popular in China Means That Given The Population Of That Country It Could Very Well Be One Of The Most Popular Kamen Rider Shows Worldwide + Zero-One Was Really Depressing Meanwhile Geats is also Really Awful and Infamous as it Was a Dumpster Fire It Was Even Worse Next to Faiz's 2nd half None of the plots after Episode 24 made any sense I like every characters especially Ikki、Vice、Daiji、Kagerou、Sakura、Lovekov、George、Aguilera、Hiromi、Genta、Story and Spin off is beautiful by Uchida and Kinoshita As it should be + Revice is good It’s not great but I thoroughly enjoyed it、It has a more solid finale compared to Geats that’s for damn sure + Geats is Dogshit and boring I hate Takahashi😎

this was the first rider season i'd watched as it was airing! my best friend introduced it to me a year ago and i thought it was pretty good! sakura was lovely anf i absolutely want a lovkov plushie 🐍 ofc i haven't watched too many seasons yet but i was absolutely hooked after the first few eps. here's to my and any other's rider and toku journey!! 💕💖💙💜

Revice is an ok show. It's not the best but i can't say that the show is awfully bad. It has problem here and there. I think the problem with Revice is that they tried to give a lot of character, even the side character like Hikaru, Tamaki, Hana, etc. deep and detailed backstory. The thing is, with only 40 - 50 eps and a lot of character, you'll not have enough time to give them all detailed backstory and development. Heck, even Genta, Vail and Hiromi need their own spin-off just because i think they don't have enough time to explained them all in the series. Cramming them all into the series made some character development or some interesting story idea useless, for example George relation with his father and became Juuga or Daiji confusion in face of Giff and Akaishi and his need of Kagero. Well, at least the character relation and interaction in Revice is quite good like Ikki and Vice, Hana and Sakura, Daiji and Hiromi, Mama-san and Papa-san, even a few that we seen loke Hikaru with his family and Hikaru and Tamaki/Julio, etc. I feel like they can do it better, maybe make another spin-off or v-cinema to fleh out the other character backstory and just mention it on the series, like how Ikki and Daiji mention that they meet Hiromi on the spin-off, like ”hey, we meet Hiromi and he have amnesia. Back to our today episode topic...”. I'm ok with a lot of spin-off as long as it can help flesh out the character more, like what we got with Junpei/Genta and Vail

I haven’t been able to fully understand why I don’t like demons. I think it may be that the spider web looks too plastic-ish? Or it may just be that it looks like spider man with the color design… I don’t dislike spider-man so that doesn’t make sense. Either way, my dislike of it is probably way over stated here, I’m not all that bothered by the design, it’s just not my favorite.

My honest Reaction: "What a gre- Ah, Wtf, Uhmmm, Yeah, Oh? Yeah? Okay? Wtf again!?, I see" It definitely started strong but the direction felled off and feel like there's really is no direction and they just write bulls as the series goes, Some shit happening here and there, Hyped Villain but not paid off defeat, Juuga, Vail, Demons, Live and Evil and of course Daddy issue They should've just stick to the family dynamic and drama part of the story and just add the occult and the rider systems as sprinkles throughout the series and paid it off before the final episode, And the final 2 episodes really just cemented how great this series could've been.

IMO, Revice is a lot better once you dig a little deeper. And lets keep in mind, the director wrote novels before he made this. As a first attempt, he did pretty well.

I also fell in Love with Revice. If it wasn't for W being a special one as my first KR, Revice would be first. Because even though is not Perfect, The Conept, The Characters and the Development were simply too good. Specially the Character Focus it has and the Theme of Accepting one's inner Demon to grow. I personally belive that the Fight between Ikki and Vice is representing Ikki's finale acceptance, maturity and growth as a person, being the older Brother. His "Demon" is not someone else, its Himself and a part of him. So Daiji and Sakura still having their demons out is about them still having to finally mature and grow. Not sure if it really is that Symbolism, but it does make sense for me. 🤔 Because for example, in the Dad's case, he got separated from his Demon, the Guilt and the Sorrow from the constant fight we are told he went through, was so deep that he forgot most of it. So By Remebering and accepting his Demon he accepts his past as a part of himself again... So Idk, I just got that Feel watching the show 😂

I think any symbolism is legitimate as long as you can explain why it spoke to you. If it was directly intended as part of its creation is less important to me personally. As time has grown, I look back on Revice more and more fondly. I want to talk about it more in the future, talk about individual moments, and its v-Cinemas ETC. It’s stuck with me and I think that’s important to talk about some of those things. W was also my first Rider series I watched. Not having someone to talk to about it was why I (very insecurely) started making videos. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.

In my opinion Hiromi should have stayed Kamen Rider Demons and then the Overdemons title could have been given to him instead of Hikaru and eventually Tamaki . Honestly the Demons Kamen Rider form was tossed around so much it lost all meaning for me.
