【Synopsis】
Once upon a time, the world was formed by an omnipotent “book”. The book, written about an origin of myth, narratives, biology, technology, and human history, was what the Sword of Logos had been preserving. By the soldiers designated by saint sabers, the world was at peace in secrecy. However, one day, someone attempts to steal the book and a battle between the villain and the Swords of Logos begins. The book has dispersed and it ends up with an epic fight lasting at this moment in time.

Why it's shit. The 2nd shittiest one. everything about saber is dog shit. The second arc on ward is so stupid. Espadas dad coming back for no reason just so he could throw a sword in the air. Tassel saying there was nothing he could've done the whole time while literly standing in front of.the cast telling them things they can see him say and hear with their ears. Kemto seeing the future and deciding to do nothing about it even when his friends are dying right in front of him. Yuri tellimg off the other swordsmen for not fighting the monsters but when a monster shows up Yuri has to be forced to fight. The powers make no sence. The lore is ass. Saber might be the series that ends Takuro Fukuda's career as a writer, given that Takuro wrote only 1/4 of Saber's content despite being appointed its head writer. Unlike with Ghost, he has no excuse to hide behind this time for why he didn't do his fair share of the work. He can't say he had a "busy schedule" during Saber's run, because if we look at Takuro's IMDB page; Saber was LITERALLY the only thing on his plate. There's also the fact that having a busy schedule in the midst of Covid is almost impossible to have. Takuro also can't say that Toei slashed the show's budget and gave him little to no creative freedom, because Toei thankfully wasn't stupid enough to slash the budget of one Kamen Rider series in order to produce another one in the midst of a global pandemic. Saber was subjected to virtually no executive meddling, so that's as close to giving Takuro as much creative freedom as possible. The final nail in the coffin for Takuro, is that he cannot blame the Japanese soccer moms for unjustly demanding that Toei babysit their children; since due to the pandemic (along with the fact that to my current knowledge as of this rant, less than 20% of Japan's population has been vaccinated) they were stuck with their children and really had no choice but to actually do their responsibilities as parents. There's also the fact that Japanese audiences voiced their dissatisfaction with Saber as a series while its second quarter was airing, and to a lesser extent; most of the interactions between Reika and Ryoga Shindai seem to indicate that Takuro has an incest fetish.

Is this show the best Rider show? No. Is it a Rider show that's fun as hell? Yes. Over all, Saber is a mediocre, but fairly interesting Rider show to analyze. There's nothing all that glaringly bad about it, the plot is well paced for the most part, the cast are all decently characterized and have their motivations set up well, and there aren't any plot holes. I think the main issue with it is that it has so many characters, and they're all often crammed into the same scene at once, which doesn't leave a lot of room for their individual personalities to shine and for them to bounce off each other. When it's just Touma, Rintaro and Kento in a scene, or Touma, Mei and Yuri, they tend to play off each other quite well. Overall I'd say it's a 6/10 show. Not the best but not bad either. It certainly has much less flaws than a show like Zero-One for example.

"There are no plot holes" Yes there are... in Spades. You mustve not watched the show 20 time like I did. Casue there are. Allow me to go down the list. Why does brave dragon heal toumas wounds and save him from falling rocks in ep 1. Why does rintaro have his book and not his sword in ep 1. What is he even there to do in Ep 1. In ep 2. Rintaro says it's rude to walk in doors with your shoes still on. He still has them on. Sophia never explains what the big book is to touma and leaves before he can know. Why does buster call touma some random when buster dropped out of hs to be a rider for Mr kame, the previous buster. When slash is first introduced he talks about touma being there at the battle, yet he doesn't remeber the pillars of light that were there? When was destast sealed. We see him get unselad in ep 4 but never sealed in any other media for saber. Why do they think kamijo is dead but not fukamiya. Why do they never ask where kamijo is. Why did falsion have his sword when taseel said the only 2 swords made by him during yurts time were the sword of lightning and darkness. Why does x sword man look like that when it's a power that comes from thousands of years ago. Why does kento decide to do nothing when is friends are in danger when he sees the future. Why does Why do the other rider turn on touma when it's blatantly obvious girl #2 is the one whos evil.. she just walks up to them and says touma will betray just like the previous caliber did. How dies she know that. When caliber says he was gonna put kento in the dark dimension in the specials he says it for the time he cut down rintaro. Was kento gonna get sent to the dark realm at that time? How did touma get out so easily. Why didn't kento come with when touma came out. When rintaro first gets king lion Dai senki he effortlessly defeats all 3 villains, but he gets blasted so bow he's out of it. Keep in mind caliber couldn't even scratch dragonic knight and klds is just as strong. What did touma and rintaro even do to earn those forms? Why is toumas final book stronger then storious final book. Storious's book is made up of all the books. All the swords. All the new books made during the show and artificial books made by the bad guys during the show. Toumas book is made up of just 6 swords and 6 books... why is cross saber so strong. Its only made up of all the swords. Again . Master logos book is made up of all the swords, books and new books made for the show... why are the black guards stronger then cross saber. Yet cross saber can fight storious relatively evenly. And so so so much more. You are wrong when you say there are no plot holes. And even if there weren't a 6 is both too high and too low. Too low in the sence, in theory, if there were no plot holes, it'd be higher since have ploy holes is bad. And too low cause this show has way more plot holes then even I listed. Like what did touma do in the other timeliness that mat him not get emo dragon. Kemto says he never saw it I'm the future, but touma got it cause he wanted to help a kid. Something touma did becise he was established in ep 1 to do that. But kemto didn't see it?

Saber might not be the best series, but considering the Worldwide Clusterfuck that was just starting, I am willing to forgive it. The costumes are cool, and the concept is fun enough to work around. Also, from what I've seen, I like a certain rider and his humongous sword. That being said...tassel and the dance endings caught me off-guard, and not in a good way.
