Pretty much agree with everything you said. The Kamila situation really is so sad. I truly believe she’s actually super talented and her career is ruined because of her damn coaches and whichever other adults contributed to the situation she’s in. Aliona looked beautiful and their skill level was better than I thought it would be, but their chemistry needs serious work. I don’t think they’ll podium either unless they miraculously get way better suddenly. And I loved Kamila’s short but that free was just obnoxious. And Kaori….I still love her and she’s still a solid competitor but those programs were way disappointing compared to what we’re used to seeing from her.
@primalcritters11 ай бұрын
You don't just truly believe it. Everybody that witnessed her skating believes it. Kamila Valieva is quite simply the best skater in history. If you watch her career from when she was 6 years old onwards, and watch her off ice dance routines, she moves like a prima ballerina she's absolutely stunning. I've never seen such exquisite body lines on a figure skater. Her poise, flexibility, fluidity, extensions, ballet hands, everything just stunning. The one thing one could say is that the jumping technique is poor but that is taught by a coach and that's not her fault. If Mishin or Brian Orser trainer then she would have phenomenal jumping technique. But eteri doesn't train for longevity, she only trains for quick runs to the Olympic gold and then they walk away. I don't think we'll ever see a skater like Kamila, the very least, nobody will ever surpass her. As for her programs, I was not crazy about the short program song but she did it very very well. The free straight song as well not crazy about but she still is so beautiful to watch even if she needs to lose a little bit of weight and become accustomed to her new height.

I actually think Liza still has chance to podium, she got bronze medal at both Rusnats and Russian GPF last season. Akateva and Petrosian are good but they are very inconsistent, they literally never managed to perform two clean programs last season. There is a new Eteri girl named Daria Sadkova who jumps quads but is also very inconsistent and lacks artistry. And Plushenko students are actually quite underscored, I don’t really believe Zhilina and Muravieva will be able to surpass Liza. So Kamila is the only true rival of Liza, but Kamila might face suspension from also domestic competitions, I am curious to see what will happen

How can someone look at Veronika Zhilina and say the only thing noteworthy about her is that she has a sister whilst simultaneously praising Kamila Valieva for technical quality? Admittedly she’s inconsistent but Zhilina’s quad jumps and more around and legit than any of the other ones we’ve seen in the Russian girls. Also just not keen to be a fan of Valieva anything while Russia is actively screwing real clean athletes out of their medals, endorsements, and other experiences. Ffs what is happening to her is bad, but what’s happening to the other victims is bad enough that going boohoo the Russian girls deserve to compete irritates me.

Kaori SP has a good level of complexity, people just doesn't like it bc it's a classical emotional piece and label it as "boring" bc is not pump music or contemporary dance or something quirky. But what she's showing is a BIG improvement from her 2018-19 SP From My First Moment: better lines, better flow, better interpretation. I'd agree that FS can be better, but also Elastic Heart wasn't ready last autumn, so maybe there's room for improvement. Nakano/Graham did a really good job understanding their skaters, their strengths and weaknesses, and build around them programs that makes sense and have identity, by choosing interesting choreographers even when the music choices are not the greatest. The problem here is that Sysmex camp can build super strong fundamentals and polish the skating at an amazing level, but is falling behind more necessary elements where other japanese and korean coaches are catching up.

Two news on the Valieva case 1. Hearings in the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva at CAS have been postponed and will continue on November 9-10. 2. A very important detail in the case of Kamila Valieva - it turned out that informing her about a positive doping test was carried out with a significant violation of the rules. So, first the athlete must be notified about it, and then everyone else. Well, or at least simultaneously. But in this case, it turned out the other way around - the ISU and the IOC received the notification first, and Kamila herself, as sources say, learned about it “from headquarters.” Theoretically, this is precisely what can justify how information about the sample was leaked to the press before the official announcement, which in turn created a colossal resonance. And, as a result, pressure on the parties to the process.
@doomdozer26 Жыл бұрын
Let me ask you a couple of things... 1. Will the CAS consider it a violation on WADA's part that Kamila's test result was delayed 45 days, and will it play a role in their decision for Russia to keep their OG medal, and 2.will Kamila's team bring up the case of McKenzie Headley , a 15 year old swimmer who was reprimanded for multiple doping violations because she's a protected person?....what are your thoughts on that??
@12Gennady Жыл бұрын
@@doomdozer26 There is also a violation of the WADA code, this is the leak of information about the result of Kamila’s test into the public space. This information is strictly confidential, since Kamila is a protected person because she is a minor. For her protection. It is necessary to conduct an investigation into how this information got to journalists. And punish the person responsible who did it. As for information from the court, how the process is going, what is being considered, etc. We do not have such information in Russia, it is not available to us - the Russian side strictly observes the confidentiality of the process. Personally, I think that what is required is: 1. An investigation into WADA’s activities in creating a list of prohibited substances. 2. Investigation into the activities of WADA and USADA in issuing exemptions to American athletes. Publicly disclose American athletes who competed at the Beijing Games with medical exceptions. In fact, they received permission to perform with prohibited drugs in their bodies, that is, with doping. There are a lot of questions for WADA, ISU, and IOC.

When a person is truly talented by heart and spirit, even a major tragedy such as possibly never received a golden medal, even through such sorrow Kamila has been brightening as a person. i think with kaori, and this is just a suspicion which may be more to do with her coaches than her, is that when she won worlds in 2022, it was completley unexpected- she'd done soemthing no one ever thought she would because of the russian children dominating. Becasue she managed that, i felt like the 2022-2023 season was one where she pushed boundaries much more because there was less on the line- she was already world champion and no one could take that away from her. This season, however, after she dominated 22/23, and won worlds etc again, maybe her, maybe her coaching, wants to see how long she can win for- becasue she's more than proved she can. I think that they may have gone for safer programs becasue they dont want to risk her losing out due to risky programs when they know realistically she can do so so well again this year...
@doomdozer26 Жыл бұрын
Kaori is a fake champion...The only reason she is even a world champion is because Russia was banned for political reasons...if not for the ban, even if Liza was instead of Kamila, she would not see the podium....and at 2023 WC she would definitely not see the podium since her scores declined the whole season...and I'm sure she's reminded of that every day....

Kinda agree. They've got her a program that doesn't push too much technically, they are letting her explore different choreos bc she won Worlds back-to-back, so she's settled her name and can basically do what she wants. She's having fun competing. Also she kinda knows that she's getting to the final stages of her skating career anyway: she hinted in some interviews that conventional retiring age is 24-26. Maybe this season she just wants to unwind and get some pressure off by having something less demanding for her programs.

I absolutely love your channel! You are hilarious I died at the hammer and Bolero comment 😂 I mostly agree with you but wouldn’t count Elizaveta Tuktamysheva out of the running for the Russian podium just yet. After all she’s been consistent, has a 3A in her arsenal, artistry, stage presence and last season even got on the podium right up there with Kamila Valieva and Sofia Akateva. It’s still crazy to me that she’s was skating competitively long before and after the retirement of younger skaters like Evgenia Medvedeva, Alina Zagatova, Alexandra Trusova and Anna Sherbakova … but I guess that is the Eteri way.

I think it's too early to talk about the fall of Akatieva, but it's really sad to see Zhilina in this state. I hope that nobody ever again moves to Plushenko, they don't know how to raise competitive skaters. Maybe good performers but that's it.

Zhilina had the best free program of all the Russian girls:What the fuck are you talking about. And she was the only one to do a quand at the russian tests. Kamila Valieva was completely out of shape and all the Eteri girls were out of shape too
@EVA-sw8wo Жыл бұрын
Zhillina is in a very good state! She skated the best short program of her entire career! And a pretty good long program! Her technique is excellent both spins and jumps and her skating skills are very good, great flexibility... she just need to learn how to perform a bit and improve consistency which was worse when she was with Tut. As for Akatieva she just came out of an injury so it too early to talk
@aronhelios1734 Жыл бұрын
@@EVA-sw8wo Rn I don't agree on Zhilina bc since she switched to Plushenko she didn't show such an amazing growth in my opinion (and also when she switched she was already doing very difficult elements in all departments). But I'll give credit to AoP for the choreos and such: they managed to refine Trusova very well and I think this is also happening for Zhilina. But for the amount of potential she has, she should be giving more imo. Let's see how it unfolds tho, they are all very young and the road to improvement is very long.
@EVA-sw8wo Жыл бұрын
@@aronhelios1734 Maybe but we will never know how she would have done with Tut, she might have been better or worse who knows. In my opinion she is doing fine now. And tbh i dont think being with Eteri or Plush matters much as her real coach was always her mother! Her mother taught her the amazing technique and jumps but somehow she couldn't help with consistency. Her sister Alena was never with Eteri or Plush, but she has the same good technique, can do the 3A and quads and has unfortunately the same consistency issues. I think Plush i packaging her quite well in terms of program and choreography, but it is too early in the season to say whether her consistency is still the same or has improved.

In Beijing, before the performances, Camila took a doping test, the results were negative. Kamila was a pure athlete and had no advantages over other athletes. Claim against Kamila for the test she took in 2021 before the Russian Championship. The result of a sample taken from Valieva in December 2021 in St. Petersburg and sent for research to the WADA laboratory in Stockholm was supposed to be made public two weeks before the start of the Olympics (the standard research period is 20 days), but it was reported only on February 8 2022. The laboratory violated the research deadline for more than a month. The laboratory indicated the presence of trimetazidine in the tests below the minimum standard. There are a lot of questions in Russia: why did the laboratory provide results only after Kamila’s birth in Beijing? If the laboratory had not violated the deadline, another figure skater would have been included in the Russian team, for example Liza Tuktamysheva. We suspect that this was done on purpose so that Russian girls would not take all three places on the podium. Second question: Why and who at WADA violated the secrecy of information about a protected person? Who gave this information to journalists with the aim of creating a public scandal? This is a serious violation of the WADA code, and a criminal act against the minor athlete Kamila. Why is no one looking into this violation?
@sirena3470 Жыл бұрын
The results of the doping test were not announced early because the party sending the sample did not notify that the sample should be examined as a priority and urgently as it should have been. Kamila's identity was not directly disclosed, it was announced that a skater who represented Team Russia in the Team Event competition and who was under the age of 16 tested positive for doping, and since Kamila was the only minor in the team, people figured out who was that person on their own
@12Gennady Жыл бұрын
@@sirena3470 You are wrong. There are established deadlines for obtaining results for WADA-accredited laboratories. This is 20 days. No additional requests are required. In exceptional cases, it is possible to contact the laboratory to urgently obtain a result, but it is not mandatory for the laboratory. Based on Kamila’s tests, the laboratory admitted that the deadline had been violated, but argued that it was a pandemic. WADA was satisfied with this argument. In Russia, this is perceived as a corruption conspiracy. Any statement that clearly points to a specific person, even without naming his name, is clearly defined as factual. People at WADA who made such a statement violated the WADA code. They need to be sued and held accountable!
@sirena3470 Жыл бұрын
@@12Gennady Yes, you are right about the delay also being due to Covid, I just researched and there is such a statement by the laboratory. But about the other issue, since the Olympics is the most prestigious competition in the world and is followed by millions of people, they had to make an explanation to the public as to why the medals were not given to their winners. If they didn’t announce which Team’s athlete tested positive, the clean athletes from the other Teams could have been unfairly blamed and questioned by the public until the investigation was over. It made more sense to reveal which Team’s member was caught doping, rather than putting dozens of clean athletes under suspicion. I also agree that it was very unfortunate for Kamila, the child probably had the worst days of her life, but it was even more worrisome that they found 3 heart medications (one of which was banned) in the body of a 15 year old child
@mharlon09. Жыл бұрын
Even if it happened before the OG it doesn´t matter, it was there in her system, therefore her results from that competition are gonna be non existing making her future results invalid too, since it will make it as if she wasn´t there in the first place. Give Trusova the 2022 Russ Nats and Scherbakova the European title and that´s it.
@12Gennady Жыл бұрын
@@mharlon09. You can have your opinion, but there is a WADA code. The WADA Code applies to specific athletes, about some systems (which you are talking about) it doesn't say anything. But it says there the fact of a positive doping test to make a decision on an athlete for WADA not enough, WADA will definitely consider how the drug ended up in the athlete’s body. This is necessary in order to exclude intentional introduction of a drug into the body athlete and laboratory errors. For example: American figure skater Jessica Calalang performing in tandem with Brian Johnson, officially in returns to the ice after violating anti-doping rules. The athlete passed a positive doping test, in which a prohibited substance was detected - the stimulant 4-CPA. Kalalang faced up to four years of disqualification, however the skater managed to avoid severe punishment, and has already eight months later, all charges against her were dropped. During this time, the American Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in collaboration with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) investigated Jessica's case and concluded that The drug entered the body of a 26-year-old athlete accidentally. Expertise has proven its presence in cosmetics, which the skater used. As a result, Kalalang was fully acquitted and restored to participation rights in international competitions. In the case of Jessica Kalang, WADA agreed with the decision USADA, and in Camille's case, WADA did not agree with the decision RUSADA, although Jessica has the drug and the dose in her body much more serious than trimezedine. Therefore, WADA decided to challenge RUSADA’s decision in the CAS court. The delay in Kamila’s case was also not her fault Kamila and the Russian side. Your proposal to distribute titles has nothing to do with sports relationship. We ask you: try before you write, find a solution. To avoid creating a false understanding from people who read your opinion.

I'm late to the part but oh well Regarding god himself. Even tho he's still far from delivering programs like Yuzu, Shoma, Nathan and Junhwan, I can see he's trying to build up his name and develop his own style. He's trying to prove he's more than his quad axel. Right now we only know it's Ilia skating because we see his face and name on the screen but I feel like one day he's gonna have that unique style, that signature move or that jump combination that will make us go _"that's Ilia"_ without the need to see his face or name on the screen (he kinda already does that when he spins but maybe that's just me). The costumes were an improvement from the last ones but (imo) still not as iconic as his blue _"quad axel"_ costume (even his hair was cute!!!). I liked the short program costume better, I feel like that's how you're supposed to do a black shirt, black pants, black everything costume and not the nonsense he wore in Tokyo. At first I was confused by his free costume because I had no idea what was going on with it, but then I realized it was a heart and now I find it cute. Now when it comes to his hair... he's just like any other man, he cuts his hair just when it's starting to look cute (again, his hair in the quad axel costume!!! IT WAS SO PRETTY!!!)

From 2001 to 2021, the United States committed aggression against Afghanistan and occupation of Afghanistan. From 2003 to 2021, the United States committed military aggression against Iraq and occupation of Iraq. In 2011, the United States committed aggression against Libya. All this time, the entire US team participated in the Winter Olympic Games and Summer Olympic Games. Why wasn't the US suspended? Why was the IOC silent? Why was Thomas Bach silent? He was a member of the IOC from 1991 to 1996, a member of the IOC Executive Committee from 1996 to 2000, Vice President of the IOC from 2000 to 2004, and was again elected Vice President of the IOC in 2006. He headed a number of IOC commissions. As of September 2013, he headed the IOC Legal Commission and the Sports and Law Commission. In 2013 he was elected President of the IOC.
