Many fruits do not grow "True to seed" You can let one of those saplings get a bit taller than that first one you plucked. Cut the top of it off, then cut a branch off your fruiting tree, dip it in root toner, and tape that to the sapling and you will get a fruiting plant. Its pretty easy.

Hey Kenan, So happy to see things are finally coming together in so many ways at Kamp Kenan!!! Because of your channel, over the last few years watching I have learned quite a bit about turtles and monitors. I have had a number of snakes and many different kind's of fish throughout my now 50 years, but never had turtles or monitors. The last 10 years have brought me to the point where I seem to be settling down in one place, and it looks like it's going to be for a while, but who really knows. Because of that I have finally, after many years of wanting turtles, have gotten my first turtle. I messaged you a few months ago that I was getting a Mississippi Map Turtle, which I still plan to get, but when I saw a month old hatchling of Trachemys grayi, I couldn't resist. She, Pepita, I've now had for 1 1/2 months, she has doubled in size in that time, and is incredibly personable. Grayi (Grays Slider) are omnivorous, but I'm having a hard time finding more info on the species such as preference of food and specific environmental conditions. Do you know anything you could tell me or have a source to find more general and lay terms for information? Thank You Kenan for having the channel and really inspiring me through learning more about turtles in finally getting my first, but I guarantee not my only, turtle. I just have to start building or acquiring more aquariums of larger sizes and hopefully I can eventually have an indoor controlled temperature and environmental area to keep more turtles in more naturalistic settings, as I live in Toronto, Canada, which isn't much of a tropical area. I also want to get back into owning other reptiles and snakes again as I used to. KENAN, YOU ROCK! KAMP KENAN IS MY FAVOURITE KZbin TURTLE CHANNEL, HANDS DOWN.

I love the natural look of the post fencing, but I wonder if it will stress the tortoises? Mine get really upset if they can see through a fence and can't get to the other side. If they have a solid visual barrier they feel much more secure. Your wood turtles are so funny! I literally laughed out loud when she fell in, and then the male stuck his head up to say "hello".

Kenan: as an amazon delivery driver, they only have about a minute to deliver your package. Cool thing with a lot of our fruit bearing trees is that from seed they are like children, all individuals. With apples they say it is a chance of 1 in 10.000 trees that you would have a superior tasting one(like pink lady f.e.). All the time that goes into growing and testing the plant is incredible. So what we then do is you take a rootstock with growth strength that you want or disease or soil adaptibility. Then you take a small part of the tree which fruit you want, a bud or a small branch. You put that on the rootstock with a grafting(or budding) technique and voila after some time you have the fruit you want on the tree. Also, the tree will have the age of the parrent tree somehwat in its system and will fruit way earlier. Grafting is a real craft though.

Grafting is super easy, just let those saplings grow somewhere you want another Mango tree and let them get bigger. Once established, simply take a cutting of your mango tree and dip it in microrisomal powder, cut the sapling and boom. Wrap it up and there you go. There are plenty of videos to provide better reference.

With how many viewers you have and how many comments you get I don't think you'll ever see this but I absolutely would love to do what you do. In fact my soon-to-be wife and I dream of having a place like yours. I have course live in Central Wisconsin so I want chickens goats a backyard that can sustain myself but I absolutely want a couple ponds with local turtles that I can keep. We currently now have property on lake beautimore and from time to time get to help painted turtles hatch this year I actually took pictures and hopes to upload to your channel but never got around to it of a painted turtle laying eggs in our garden. Unfortunately I was not there to watch the match but I promise next year you can see footage of that. Keep making amazing videos brother your channel is one of the very few that I enjoy watching as much as I possibly can. I know for a fact there's episodes I've missed and from time to time I go back and try to find those. Your cichlid pond is actually amazing. I truly believe mine will be similar but possibly native fish from Wisconsin here unfortunately I wouldn't be able to keep trout in any kind of pond that I can conceive. Maybe I'll just have to settle by buying property on a trout stream and sitting my yard up perfectly for turtles to come and spawn in. I do realize I use the wrong terminology there for laying eggs but I'm not going back to delete it now. I hope you continue to prosper your content is amazing. Thank you

i don’t know much about tree grafting, but from the videos i’ve seen i think you could let a young mango tree grow a bit and then cut off a branch and replace it with a small branch cut from the mother tree. you can just use plastic wrap or tape to hold it on until it grows together and any of the grafted brances should grow fruit. think they also make stuff you can apply that reduces the chances of disease affecting the graft site

Maybe you could build a pillar on one side of the drive that has a door on the front for the delivery driver to put the package in and a door on the back for you/Kate to take the packages out. It would help protect the packages from the rain/wind too. You could even put a general mailbox in the pillar and a sign for Kamp Kennon. If you wanted to go all out you could add a sheltered area for you trash cans to keep critters out and make sure hurricane winds don't blow them over/away.

And then there is the bit of predators climbing over and jumping down to miss the hot wire! You do such good work, why hide it? Or make more work for yourself...
