This method works better with argys, since they’re naturally slower than a quetz they’ll follow them without attacking it for a good amount of time

Just tamed up a 290 quetz! I used my starter quetz to chase it, and once it slowed down, I shot it in the head with tranq darts, since you can stand on the quetz. Although I did have lots of Trouble along the way. I forgot parachutes once and fell off and died.

I caught my 1st quetzal and it was a female yesterday, it laid 2 eggs that I turned into quibble that I used for giga tame, btw I play single player. I think when you catch a quetz, more are gonna spawn around the map after you catch your first one.

If you have a tribe of two people and find quetzal: -One person needs to be on an arge and carry you -You can use weapons when you are carried by your tribe mate -use any arrow that adds torpor ( me and my friend did it with a bat by getting close to him lol) - make sure it doesn’t land on dangerous spots filled with a ton of hostile creatures -let it fall safely - go tame it I guess- Respond to my comment if it didn’t work

An easier way to do it is to kill the quetz, respawn it an obelisk, and have the tribute terminal sealed so it can’t escale

Its easyer to do it on a tapejara because if you run outa parachutes and you dont have time to make more then you can latch onto trees and shoot at it from there

Well, shock darts are better, but if you're out of options, just parachute higher and spam regular tranq darts on the head if you can.

Best way Ruthlessly barrage it with assault rifle or take the soul out of its body using a sniper rifle, after doing that take its implant, then revive it either in revival platform, or obelisk, then build trap around it, then just good nighty night it using tranq arrows or tranquilizers

You can sleep and that will lower the hunger bar of the Quetza then you can fast tame it (I always use that tactic to tame many creatures but have a long cooldown)

Best way to tame a high-level quetz, is to tame a very low-level quetz 1st and then use the quetz trap. Which I should be doing a vid on that soon:)

Great, because i have 2 tapejaras in my base rn the other one was the oldest because it got lost weeks ago and never saw it so i planned on taming another one after taming one i notice a flying creature in top i thought it was a quetzal so i flied to it and realized it was the tapejara i lost this time i set their aggression to passive because the reason it got lost was because the aggression was attack target so when some creature attacked some of my dinos they got alerted and my tapejara flew very high after the creature was killed i also have a narcoberry farm so i can have a few tranq arrows and narcotics my plan is to tame a spino because it is my first favorite dinosaur i tamed a rex but spino is harder because it is faster and stronger but it's health is small

if you have a Compound bow then Toxican arrows is the best but they are both great !!

Tranq + Rifle is best until you get C. Bow + Tox Arrows. C. Bow + Tox Arrow will do good until you get shock tranqs.
