The way Mumei sang her part in 2:19 hit me particularly hard. The way she delivered her line, following Ina's "I wasn't afraid of dying alone.", felt...realistic. Starting off very soft, and gradually increasing in power as it ends. I'm not gonna pretend I know what Mumei was thinking as she was recording the line, but I do know that being able to look nostalgically at the person you were is a good sign of growth. I'm not afraid of dying alone. It's a conclusion I arrived to after my own personal experience, of an easier way to live life. But maybe, one day I'll be able to look back at my current self, and feel nostalgic for even this part of me I feel is final.
