The fact that the main reason Kana-chan ordered that specific grill and imported it was because she wanted the takoyaki grill plate is the most Osakan thing and it's awesome. Idk how hard it is to find takoyaki in Florida, but I know it's really hard in the northeast, so it must be frustrating to not be able to enjoy a popular food from home very often. That said, I'd forgotten they use ketchup for pizza in Japan and I'm both horrified and curious. Mochi sounds like a delightful pizza dough though! おいしそうですよ！

Just a quick tip,put damp towel or cloth under your cutting board and then it won't move around when you're using it...welcome.

Or use that rubberized shelf lining that you find in any home goods store. use it under all my cutting boards and they don't move. People also use a rubber anti-slip material you put under carpets.

Mochi is a rice cake dessert with a sweet flavor and a bouncy texture or like eating a sweet dough. In her case she is using a more solid mochi so I think it's like eating a mozzarella block cheeze but sweet with rice as main ingredient instead of buffalo milk. I wish I had a better example but this is the best comparison I can think of.
