The handy-dandy planetary probe is OP for finding robotic fauna now. Jump into a system, (preferably red,) do a quick scan and check the planets with only 2 fauna. No need to fly to each individual planet.

Yeah multiplayer is not quite there yet. Those funny glitches on the freighter happened to us too during a live stream, two people cam onboard mine and saw different layouts. One was "look how cool this is", and the other was like "what are you talking about it's just two rooms". Then when everything finally rendered he was stuck outside.

Yeah, I've since confirmed that they seem to be pulled from a pool of preassembled options. Bit of a let down, but they're still fun to explore when I find new ones. Random fact, the red and green lights are probably not just random but actually have significance. In boating, at night a red light is put on the left (called port) side of the boat and a green light on the right (called starboard) side. The lights in the freighter were that way round as you entered. I think the same lights system is used in aviation.

Thanks! And I'm still playing around with all of the new features. I'll probably put out a video in the next week or two talking about these kinds of changes. My initial impression is that it might a precursor to new flight mechanics, but then again they just updated starship combat a couple of months ago, so the timing is definitely odd. We'll see! Eh, NMS is usually buggiest right after an update. Hello Games always send out a bunch of hotfixes in the days following a major update, so they're mostly resolved quickly. I understand it's not ideal, but the game is such an odd case both in how it's built and in its scale, that I'm usually not too miffed. But I would agree that does say something that my friend and I genuinely consider bugs to be part of the NMS experience. lol HG have certainly fostered a generous fanbase.

Ok...why not use the microphone you use on your videos? You can't possibly use those earbuds when you make your videos... Or, you are a developer, use some of that cash for a good set of cans, a condenser mic and a sound proof room? Or at least a dynamic.

No, I used a better mic when I do my video voiceovers. The problem is that it picks up everything, so if I use it in my living room where I play I get fans, A/C, echo, and more random noises. Plus I'd need to hook it up directly to the PS5 in order to sync up audio, since I just record footage from the console's built-in share features. Besides which, I don't usually share the actual audio from my gameplay recordings, so I've never needed a good mic for this sort of thing before. That being said my new headset should at least be audible if I make another video like this. And to be clear, I really don't have the money for nicer equipment yet, let alone the space for a proper streaming room. Maybe someday! My ad revenue did pay for the new headset though (on sale), which is nice! Thanks for watching and commenting!
