I know this was said on the last episode, but I really feel like boats should be banned on shore day. I just watched CWC catch some perch and measure them on the boat that was literally 1m away from them.... I don't really consider that shore fishing to be honest. Episode was great in general! Just please make this a rule for next perch pro or even Zander pro.

Yeah, places which you can't reach without a boat like islands shouldn't be allowed (unless they swim) and also not spot hopping with the boat which is far easier and faster. It's a pitty to this great format and usually well thought modus but this just doesn't make sense and is just not fair.

58:52 , when 1 cm can change the Point and he measures like this. When Dustin sitting at home and watches this, maybe he is not so happy.😂 Not at a single point ist really clear how big the perch is. And with the Hand on the Head, you cant see, he‘s touching the front. Only my opinion.

You can be sure that cheating is not in our tackle. Mille was our camera man, we did not count many 29+ fish because we measure every fish under suspect. And that fish was really tired by photos etc. I wanted to release it as soon as I can.
@Neversettle0o
@Neversettle0o 2 жыл бұрын
Imo, that fish was ca 45,6cm. You can clearly see it if you go frame by frame. The perch head is pushed slightly one last time before it flips the switch. Yes, the hand on the head is just a cheap shot.

Was really looking forward to shore day. To see how the teams would tackle the obstacles that most of us non boat anglers have. Too be honest I really hated the moving by boat and fishing on islands and rocks in the middle of the water. Those places are not accessible for shore anglers so I feel a bit cheated.

Same, thought it would represent a day of shore-fishing but it truly doesn't, actual bad content since it adds nothing to any fishing style. Its now an invented fishing style that only happens in this specific competition

Great format, but I find the way of measuring very questionable. Often the angler's hands are on the fish's head, you can't see if it's touching the board. In addition, it is often said that it is a "clicker" without measuring. That could change the number point. I really like the format, but these are things that could be improved, especially when it comes to a few centimeters in the end.
@tamb1353

Agreed. I feel like Eholotes last fish was sort of questionable as the fish was never completely settled to get a fully accurate measurement.

@@tamb1353 Even if the measuring of Echolotes was was done really bad, by examining the footage frame by frame I think their perch was 45 cm long. That being said and if I am right they actually do deserve the big fish point as the measuring of Nays/Stroft was also a joke. Their 45 cm perch was actually 44 cm long. If you look closely at 56:54 min you can clearly see that the fish slides to the front of the board touching it properly for the first time. And then even with the mouth open the fish is under 45 cm long. With mouth closed it would have measured just over 44 cm in my opinion. When they confirm the fish for 45 cm at 56:57 its mouth is not closed and does not even touch the front of the board! And guys just go back and look closely at the measuring of their 50 cm ;) they did not even deserve that point!

I suggest to try save fish ailve after pulled all over the heavy stream about 50+m, netted, brought to shore, several photos and no flat place to measure in strong rain. Try to do that standing on slipery stones in water. This fish fighted on the measurement board and it was not easy to handle. I thought more about fish than points about that moment. Complains are easy. The bees and flys decided where to live themselves. The same for human. You chose is there something to say. Have a nice fishing! Big fishes should be released quick, always!

@@eholotesvideo I totally agree with everything you say here. But, you also have a responsibility to make sure that you can measure your fish on the most proper way possible. If you can not do that, as you describe above, then you can not either use that fish as top five on your scoreboard, because you couldnt measure it correctly(as you just confirmed) Best regards

Nays/Stroft - Dustin Schöne & Tobias Ekvall too much ego
@Nurdjen
@Nurdjen 2 жыл бұрын
Can you elaborate, please? I'm not a huge fan of them either, but where is that ego you're talking about? You know that Nays is Dustins company and that they're putting on a show to sell their products. Just like any other team here. Or why do you think team headbanger is munching from an orange bag each lunch report and all of them are shoving their lures into the camera after they caught a fish. If you fish for competition, you need to be ruthless to a certain point and put on a show. All of them do. So all of them have somewhat of an ego. They wouldn't be there, if they hadn't. That doesn't make it less of a good show and you should keep your sissi-feelings to yourself. Go root for who ever you like he most, but keep quiet if you just have to say something negative.

@Nurdjen
@Nurdjen 2 жыл бұрын
@@sylwek_tDon't get me wrong, you're entitled to your own opinion and you are allowed to voice it. I'd just prefer an opinion that is supported by evidence or at least examples and explanations. For Example: Some of the comments here refered to Dustin Schöne casting his lure on the ferry. It's questionable, but I know spots where I cast my lure on a small bridge extention and wiggle it down to let it drop directly next to the wall under water. Works like 99 out of a 100 times until you lose a lure. At the end of the day, the video editor tells the story. Dustin was probably able to just pick up the lure when the ferry came back. And it doesn't look like he endangered anybody and nobody involved cared about it. That Tobias was laughing that hard is an indicator that Dustin probably was boasting about a little trick that worked all the time and as soon as the camera was involved, it completely backfired. They were also not catching much, so at that point they were going for content. And since Team Nays is quite popular the editors were happy with giving them some screen time. This is an explanation why this scene might have been included, but it doesn't make it right. What you think about this is still up to you. I don't think that this particular moment should have been shown in a fishing competition that has such a broad audience. But it's also not such a big deal if you try to look at it from the view of the angler or video editors. Regarding the storytelling by video editors: Imagine Team Echolotes was netting EVERY fish besides the ones shown in the episodes. Or they measured the 46cm perch correctly in a second attempt, but that was left out on purpose. You can easily do that to damage someones reputation. Since they're one of the sponsors, I can't imagine that this is happening here. I was actually happy that they left in the desperate comment of the camera guy in one of the previous episodes where he was like: "Please guys, at least net the big perches" or something like that. For me it's hard to watch those two guys, because I was taught a completely different way of handling fish. And the story told here means the opposit to me: I just don't want to know what footage they left out!
