Can we add the tampering to standard idli batter ? I prepare idli batter in a different way using idli rice. Also should the tampering be added hot or after cooling ?

Yes...the tempering can be added to standard idli batter also. The tempering can be added while its hot itself!!

Deepthi Nayak ...glad you enjoyed the recipe.. The softness of Idli mainly is based on the consistency of the Idli batter The batter should not be thick or watery... it should be free flowing as shown in video 👍
