Thank-you so much for mentioning the salt quantity. Salt is a game-changer for any dish and for someone who is new to cooking, guessing the quantity of 'salt to taste' is pretty frustrating.

I am maharashtrian. We don't make just like this. Specifically no need of soaking for 2 mins. Just pour water and immediately drain it off. No need of adding sugar and salt after draining water. Later while cooking we can add salt sugar. Hing also we r not using.

your recipes are amazing no doubt.. but being a maharashtrian and we eat this almost everyday here's a tip. never stir the poha too much that it starts breaking.. in this video.. there was too much stiring which made it into lumps.. each and every grain of beaten rice should be visible..

Instead of soaking poha, you can simply wash it in colander itself. And instead of mixing coriander and grated coconut, you can garnish the rrady pohe with it.

In Maharashtra there is also some places where people don’t use jeera in many recipes. But this doesn’t mean that’s not good for health or bad thing. In some places in India they add curry leaves for Sabudana Khichadi for fast; that doesn’t mean they are totally wrong. It’s only depends on our perception.
